  • wow - what grace, elegance and beauty. she conveys so much with such delicate movements! love the music too - soooo beautiful!

  • wahhhh its stunning

  • Absolutely beautiful Uyghur dance performance! I love dances from Tursunay, she is so graceful! Love you Tursunay!

    Suggestion to viewers:

Please DO NOT force your political views on thers here, it is not-sense, just post comments related to the video. Some of you just try to post bullshit, if you know for sure, say it. If you do not know good enough, ask and learn.

This is such a beautiful video, but some comments here are disgusting. Enjoy the music and share your ideas on the music.

  • Armenians are hibrid society. one of armenian ethnic roots is turanian. But today, big powers use armenians.

  • wooooooooooooooow

  • sxkhdi -- you heard the term "uyghur turks"? I am sure you know 'turks' very well, and probably too well, but let me tell you something you probably don't know: Uyghurs spent 200 hundred years terminating Turkish Khanates with China in North Asia before year 740. Now they started calling each other "brothers".

  • @WDMarx

hello? living proof that marijuana should be banned forever.

  • and Iam just saying that armenians are nothing, they lost their lands to Turks and are bitter now about that. Who knows them?

    Btw, jews are your relatives.

Hungarins are our relatives, if you do not read anything else, read more on the tube, Hungarians will tell you about that.

Indians and Pakistani remembers us well since the times of Mughals, that was the time when India prospered.

Also, if you respect yourself, get to do something you enjoy rather watching a video with people you hate.

  • Uyghurs are most cultured people among Turkic groups to begin with. Moreover, the little kingdoms existed 1000 years ago in Tarim basin and assimilated by Uyghurs later had very high and old culture. A well known historian Lord Henning believed those people came from today's Iraq 4000 years ago and arguably the oldest Indo-Europeans. The link between Armenians and Uyghurs probably come from they both have a share of saka and Alains.

  • her last name is very Uyghur - Ibrahimjan, that is from Arab Ibrahim with Uyghur -jan added. Such names arrived to us with Islam, nothing to do with Armenians. Her first name is very Uyghur - Tursunay.

Just because she is beautiful does not mean she should relate to Armenians.

Uyghurs can teach dance to anybody, we do not need Armenians to teach us do that. Armenian dance is not like that, your moves are very different.

We would not be learning dancing from Armenians, your moves are different.

  • you sure don't know anything about Turks and Uyghurs in particular. Before offending us learn more.

So far I have learnt about Armenians that they can say offensive staff about others.

There are many Uyghurs that might be taken for Middle Easterners or Mediterraneans, that's becuase we are a mix of Mongoloids and Caucasoids.

A rule of thumb - if you do not want to be offended, do not offend others. Unless, of course, you are one of those lumatics that go arround picking fights.

  • Long live East Turkestan...Much love brothers and sisters.

  • @WDMarx....Are you retarded? Cause apparently you can't even get my gender right. Anyway RETARD, sorry but "WE TURKS" have no time to indulge your sadomasochistic fantasy of having big, manly, turks woop your ass. So why don't give it a rest and come out of the closet already, cause that's why so you're mad isn't it? As for the faith of EAST TURKESTAN....don't worry about it the liberation of the Uyghur is inevitable. Your futur as a man whore however, is a lot less certain.

  • Wow, a Turkish whore is here! Sorry. Fuck you.

  • @WDMarx....Please quit talking so much about yourself already that's very unbecoming of a harlot like you. I know you'd love to become a "turkish whore", so don't give up dreams do come true...better luck next year!!!! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you....Oh yes, one more thing FUCK YOU TOO MOTHERFUCKER...

See ya wouldn't wanna be ya lol lol lol!!!

  • The Turkish whore, you want to fuck me? Please come and I will pay you. I know all the Turkish "men" are gays, so you need outside fuck. By the way, all the Uyghur men would love to fuck you too if you are not too ugly.

  • you dirty-mouthed lunatic. How did you say? Be a man and stop talking? Well be at least half of a men and stop polluting tube with your most rotten comments.

Han chinese did not get enough up-bringing being busy working at sweatshops, they don't know how to express themselves in a civilised way.

By offending Turks you only show how disrespectful you can be. And sure, I show comments like yours to my firends in Europe to show what chinese commies are like. And they surely get my point.

  • Asshole, you keep talking, faggot. Is a Turkish girly man qualified to mention the word "civilized"? Ask Armanians and Greeks.

  • I can't believe you are a human being. dont you feel shame of blaming a very decent lady? shame on you.

  • Don't know what the fuck you are talking about. I do respect a "lady", but not a "bitch".

  • Wow ! What's the name of those kind of violins ? So mesmerizing they sound !

  • that's not violin,a tracraditional musical istrument of uyghur's.

  • wow this dance really touched my heart ,,,really beautifull dance ,,and music ,

  • Who below said this was boring? This is anything but boring! This is the kind of subtle, less-is-more performance that only an experienced master dancer can offer.

  • This is really, really beautiful! Amazing music and dance both. I'm a dancer from the US and I've fallen in love with Uyghur culture thanks to Youtube. Thanks for these beautiful videos. Someday I hope to visit East Turkestan. Looks like a beautiful place. Are there any Uyghur dancers in the US?

  • What kind of connection do you see between Classical Uygur Dance and stuff you wrote, sorry?

  • I thought you were asking where you can find Uyghur dancers in US. I pointed out to you there are more than 10 Uyghurs militants in Quantanamo Bay Navy base, whom US doesn't want them, doesn't want to send them back to China and is busy of finding a country where they can be dumped. All Uyghurs can dance, more or less.

  • @ditmasdancer

What a power of Internet. I am from Poland and i love uyghur music too.

  • this here

    girl

    knows how

    to get

    a dance off

    right

  • Wonderful

    right from the get go!

  • The dancer looks like Madhubala. :)

  • Zer bundaaaaa baram sey.....etc can somebody right the words of Mirajihan in latin letters.

  • Even me Bosnian learned a lot via you tube about Uyghuristan and their music. So I recognised right away the music from the song Mirajihan..my favorite of Uyghur music.

I wish the best to the great people of Uyghuristan/East Turkestan.

  • do any hearts and diamond shape appear in ancient xinjiang?

  • Beautiful people, beautiful music. I think all Turkic people are beautiful and talented. And for some unknown reason, I have always loved them. I am a Tibetan.

Wish you love, peace and happiness to all the Turkic people in the world

  • wish you all the love, peace and happiness of the world back ;)

  • muslims are the most great people in the world and uyghur are one of the strongest culture in the world.

    GO FOR THE GOLD XINJIANG!!!

  • Don't exaggerate! Muslims aren't the best of all. But their great. I like the cultures of the

ethnic groups who belong to the Islam.

  • Merhaba Kardeslerim!!!! Biz sizi cok seviyoruz!!!

    from:France

  • My wife is a professionals Uzbek dancer. She had 6 years of Tashkent State Dance College.

and i think Uzbek dance is one of the most diverse. But this is Uygur which is also good.

  • This is one of the most stunning, most exotic music I've ever heard in my life, it speaks to my soul (could it be because I was born in Azarbayjan?). Thank you so much for posting this & enabling us to connect with our glorious past.

  • Wonderful full of colours great dance n music

  • Wonderfull! Where is this from?

  • it is from xinjiang china(uyghur autonimous region)

  • Great dance. i like it

  • Thanks to Zarin for posting this beautiful clip and Duldul for the very helpful explanations.

Actually I find not only the dance and music but also the traditional dresses beautiful. unfortunately the the small scren of 10X12 cm doesn't do justice to this. Duldul I'll check your clips!

  • lesser the dress better the danasss! qasmay!

  • That Uyghur musical instrument was called Qushtar. In Uyghur language Qush=Bird, Tar=String.

A shape of nightingale is carved on it's handle, that's why it called like that. Now we Uyghurs call it Hushtar, Hush= Pleasing .....actually this is the changing of the pronounciation.

About the dancer Tursunay Ibrahim, you can read the description of my video, she is a great dancer!!

  • So the name Kucha(Kusan) has the history of more than 1000 years. The title is not Kocha qizi(street girl) nor Koja kenri, you may have difficulty in reading Uyghur language. In your another video Turkic mastana, you thought that it's Turkmen dance, actually not! It's also Uyghur dance! Again thanks for posting these Uyghur videos, but you should give the right description.

  • Kucha was also called Kusan which is the capital of Kusan Uyghur kingdom. The name Kucha comes from the word Kuch which means Power,Powerful in Uyghur language. Kusan comes from the word Kisin which means also Powerful in ancient Uyghur language. You may know that India is the holy place of Buddhism in ancient times, you should know that Kucha was another world's holy place of Buddhism in ancients times, those amazing relics could be the proof for that.

  • .Allmost All turk were belivers and their religion was near to Islam. that is the only reason for collective conversion. turk are brave people and best known for resistance against invaders.Turk were the first to introduce islam at india via Kashmir and upto europe and mostl of preecher went there from turk areas.

  • @Duldul601 That's quite interesting. 'Güc' is the Turkish euquivalent to the Uyghur 'Kuch'. What Buddhist traditions are left TODAY in Uyghur culture? As far as I know some traditions weren't wiped out when Islam as introduced to East Turkistan.

PS. Your women are incredibly beautiful!

  • This is Uyghur folk dance, title is Kucha Qizi(girl from Kucha),that Uyghur musical instrument is called Hushtar, background music is from the well known Uyghur folk song Mirajihan, you can find the song from my videos. Please do not remove any of my comment, I just hope you to make things correct. Thanks!

  • lovely

  • en dot wikipedia dot org / wiki/ Kucha

  • this is a copy of moghalizam movie dance and song , they changed the music lit bet .

  • Definitely no way!!! Plz read my comment.

  • hi

am just interested where is this dance comes from ?

  • this dance comes from middle asia(westurn China),it belongs to Uyghur nation(one of Turk nations),those dancers are Uyghur people.

  • sweet and loveable is right!

  • Not kuja, not Kocha, I t's just kucha, a name of a county which is in Xinjiang.

We also called the passage koo-cha , the same as you.But the title of the video is the girl from Kucha, not the Street Girl(Koo-cha kizi).

  • ka cha (temporary) koch (move) kochak = baghal =beneith arm joint, ko chi )traveller) ka ch (glass), kee ch or koo ch = young donkey

  • these videos i uploaded for my friends abroad. if you like it see it. otherwise upload a video by yourself. when you upload this video i will delete video. instead of commanding me. do something by yourself.

  • could you read xinjiang language? why the at the title of song they write koja qanri?

  • you go out of your home and let your computor have rest. buy one CD from shop . after comeback upload it to you tube and write what you like. i have no objection, if koja kanri dont have meaning why it come at start of music?

  • Nice sad music.. and very nice dance..

  • it does loook kind of like kathak...but definitely unique. i like it! and she did the whole thing in heels thats impressive

  • kathak is imperialised version of tribal khattak dance. similar to khattak qataghan and caucasian also have different styles . but in my opion caucasian footwork is unbeatable. no one can touch their speed

  • You need to watch Sharmila Sharma dance to 15 beat kathak. Her footwork i nothing less than say equally paced flamenco. I've read that Flamenco and Kathak also share some roots. Sharmila Sharma is actually from my town of Baroda, India she made it very big, and is one of the worlds most renowned Kathak dancers.

  • correct.kathak dancers are mostly profession but khattak dont do it like profession but just to prevent culture. youtube have have khattak foot work for some videos. you compare it fairly and let me know your opinion

  • where this song belong from wait for replay

  • kala = black , nag = snake. you belong to india or Pakistan

  • Merhaba Kardeslerim!!!! Biz sizi cok seviyoruz!!!

    By: Hazar from: Turkey

  • Dai means peacock.

But in Chinese, Dai is one of our 56 ethnics (same people in Thailand).

  • Long live Turkic people!

  • dai in persian means maternal uncle correct?

  • dai in hindi mean nurse

  • dai in persian mean baby care taker , nurse

  • this is uyghur dance, not Dai dance.

  • then you kiss European ass.

  • a group of white girls in USA watched this video; they all said the uyghur grils and indian (india) girls look alike. this is unbelievable!

  • Tursunay Ibrayim is one of the great Uyghur dancer, once she dance, all the part of her body follow her graceful motion very attractable...this video present the Uyghur dance and great culture..

  • Turks culturs are the best ;)

  • Just so you know this is definitely not Dai dance. God how can you confuse Uyghur w/ Dai? They look so distinguishable to me @_@ So if you don't mind please change that in your introduction of this clip.

  • Dai mean peacock, color combination and steping truely beautiful like peacock. any how if you know what is actual name of this dance. let me know i will change it for you. and let it open for comment of art lovers that which name was more suitable

  • What is Dai dance?rediculous.

Kuja (correctly Kucha) called Kusan in Ancient times is A Uyghur city. This Dance is a traditional Uyghur Dance. And this dancer is world famous Uyghur dancer .Her name is Tursunay Ibrahimjan. It cannot be copied from other nations!

  • dai = peacock

  • Kuja in afghan language (pashtu) so far kusa . if the passage between two lines of houses or shope is narrow it is called galai. but if space between is wider than it is called kusa in pashtu and kocha in urdu and Dari

  • narrow passage between houses is called Gali in Hindia (India's national language) and call Galli in Marathi which is my mother tongue.

  • sooooo nice ,sooooo beautiful!

  • damm..they r hot..i like it..nice video dude

  • Great! çok güzel olmus. bak yahxikan.

  • Thanks zarin144 for spelling "Uyghurs" correctly. Hope you can put up more Uyghur videos ( with correct spelling please). Thanks a lot. I do not realy mind being a budist or Christion but I like the way I am circumsized. That is probably the only thing I like about Islam really. It is quite hygenic and healthy. Ops!!! am i getting in too detail.

  • haha because it is common in Muslim in Jews. Kashar and Halal. i got you

  • you can educate people politely. No one do it intentially. i love and like yughur culture it have much common thing with afghan culture that is why i upload this video to share with other friends world over.

I am glad that Tajiks are proud of Uyghur culture.

  • yeah I think this is best video i got.

  • wow nice tajikistan people

  • This is Uighur dance. And of course lookls like Tajik or Uzbek dance. Though theye were in China in their culture too had been developing in a bit isolated from the rest of CA way. That's why they rpeserved their dance in its traditional form.

  • Nice outfit! She's pretty, so are the instrumentalists. I love central Asain dances because they have both Persian and Turkish elements in them. Very nice!
