He's comparing the production-based GT class to the LMP2 prototype class like a n00b. Nissan made more top 10 finishes this year because it races in a prototype class, not because they make a better race car. In fact, they don't even make those LMP2 cars. You can do more to a Corvette as far as mods go than any other sports car. Also with the addition of a $6,000 super charger you can turn a $47,000 Corvette into something that can't be beat by shitty European sports cars. Which when you buy one your kinda stuck with what you have for performance.

According to a simple research, DATSUN (GODZILLA) made more Top 10 finishes OVERALL in Lemans this year than GM did in 10 years. It goes to show the difference between Nissan and Chevy at a professional racing scene and the difference between their street cars (C6 and R35). Hmmmm? R35 > C6. Later my gm fanatics! =D

I have NO idea why Chevy doesn't focus more on their successes with their corvettes. I love how well they're doing in Europe and hope they grow to export more of their cars around the world. I also saw a race with FFs and the volt was in it. If only the US as a whole would get into car races beyond NASCAR and drag racing . . .

PS: There would have been most likely two Corvettes crossing the line (1st and 2nd) if not for their other car's crash in the La Mans around the 160 lap.
