Yes, there are two safteys. As a personal preferance I only install the safety for the bottom shaft on my personal guns, but I leave that up to the user.

Yes, that gun has 2 freeshafts.  I just finished another mech that has two line releases for double lined shafts.

No, that is my personal design. I designed the trigger mechinism to house both triggers and integrate the handle into one assembly. The gun you see is the 2nd revision and the 3rd rivision will be done in a week. I'm currently just making them for myself, but if there is enough interest I might make a few for others.
