Hi mate, i got a couple questions... do you requiere a psp 3000? or it can be usted with any psp Fat and Slime...? and you can only naviigate trought the interface? or you can also play games... i'm saying this because I started to play Metal gear Solid Peace Walker and is a wonderful game but the controls are a little unconftable.. so it will really come in handy to have a second analog stick!, thanks mate.

you can play certain games one it, some ps3 games work in remote play. You can also play ps1 over remotes play like this too, not to mention psn games.

@Mkdude007 it has been a while but i remember this one game about dragons which is not a new game. it came out when the ps3 was new, cant recall the name but you could control the dragon with the sixaxis, as i said i cant recall the name but i remember how it was played.

@peterc1 i don't know since when, but recently I tried, hacked psp remote play on a hacked ps3, even Killzone 3 works with it, it's only not enough button, otherwise I can play it. I don't know why, but still some games won't work, games like little big planet I remember it didn't let me even start the game, now I can even play it, that's weird. like dirt2 too, it didn't work before and now it worked.

fix it man its actually really easy i hardmodded my battery which was really easy magic memory stick and did it in like 20 minutes, and i have cfw 4.01-m33 and it still works so idk...

If you mean to do what i am showing in this video, then the PS3 has to turn on the Remote Start option found on the Remote Play Option in the the [Setting] section.

With this the PS3 can be started remotely with Remote Play and this is required for this trick.

I do not know how to transfer PSP data like video pic, and music through wifi if you are asking that.

But you can plug a usb cable to the psp and ps3 to share and transfer files, that the suppose method.

I personally have everything on a External HDD and using Tversity I stream the date to the Ps3 and downloading the same files to the psp. Its like cloud application sorta ☺

Lol first it's not memory, its more like space or storage, memory is usually referred to ram.

No i did not mean or say you can transfer files from the ps3 to the psp while in Remote Play or visa versa. The whole point i was trying to make in this video is that it was possible at one point with official firmware that you can use a PS3 controller to control a psp while in Remote Play.

No, you can not transfer files to or from the PS3 to PSP while in Remote Play, I meant to say was that you have to plug the PSP to the PS3 with a USB cable and put your PSP on USB mode, the PS3 will recognize the PSP as a PSP storage device and from there you can copy and paste, move files to and from the PS3 to the PSP.

Again you cant transfer files while in Remote Play

You know the feature REMOTE PLAY? it allows you to connect your PSP to the PS3, well i found a workaround to allow you to use your ps3 controller while on Remote play.

You might say that's not so special but when your in Remote play you not suppose to be able to use a controller beside the PSP, there is no modding or voiding warranty just few simple steps.

Not sure this will work any more but it did work on an old firmware.

Depends one which games, the one that work are the PS1 games and certain Ps3 games like Lair.

I know why: Remote play is just connection to your online profile, so, if somone says, "I'd like to play GTA 4 with you!" You CAN'T, because your PS3 can't send that much data to your PSP, because it's using an Access Point. However, it can send enough to play a PS1 game (like Spyro).

There are some games you can play on Remote play, only one i know of for blu-ray is LAIR but you can play ps1 games, not sure about PS2 games. You cant watch movies off hard copy disc but if the Video is saved on the Hard drive then you could.

This was a glitch, I am not using a controller on the PSP directly. On the PSP is a feature call Remote Play. This feature can be laggy as controlling may not be as smooth as you like so this glitch eliminates the laggy control problem.

To some people this is useful because someone may want to use the Tv but you want the screen for the PS3, you can now play your PS3 on the PSP screen and still able to use the controller. The analog on the Controller is more responsive than the analog on the PSP.

Did you try to plug a usb cable into the controller and connect it to the ps3, this will register the controller to the ps3. This happens often if you shut the power off from the switch and the ps3 may corrupt save stuff while the hard drive is spinning.

yes you can still play on your psp, this will not mess anything up as it require no modding or anything.

What is your situation ?

Do you have the controller off at the time?

Once the PSP has enter the stage where you can see the PS3 Xcross Media Bar (XMB) you should not touch any of the PSP buttons - wise to put your PSP on hold

The controller is off, if you only have one controller, this is tricky as you must set your PS3 on remote start option, so the PSP can turn the PS3 on. With the DS3/Sixaxis off AND you have not touched any of the PSP buttons wait like 10 secs then press the PS logo on the controller. once the controller has connected (the lights have stopped flashing) you can use the controller to control the PSP ONLY in remote Play.

No the PSP is not used as a controller, Remote Play is a Feature where the PSP can remotely access content that is stored on a Ps3. you can watch videos that you saved on the Ps3 and here you can watch Divx, Flv and other media format that the PSP is unable to use. The use of the internet while in Remote Play lets you watch Youtube Vids on your PSP streamed.

Here how remote play works, it streams a Video onto your PSP but this video is interactive. meaning you can change it to your will, if you press X then Ps3 will respond, each control triggers different events depending on what you are doing.

Imagine the Psp as you Television and the PSP controls is the remote, what you press on the remote will change something on the screen. and where the video is coming from is the PS3.
