This is the pre facelift Carrera 2S it has only 355bhp and as a convertible it weighs about 1560kg , the C63 weighs about 210kg more, but it has 100bhp more and 2.4l more displacement, so the C63 should keep up better with Porsche, but somehow all the Power of the C63 doesnt go to the wheels.

Porsche knows how to maximize it's performance. It's not just a standard inline 6 or v6..
Not even that, but the C63 is around 4000 pounds. And the 6.2L V8 isn't even maximized because it has way more potential then whats offered straight from the factory. A simple tune can increase outputs of 30+ hp and 50+ ft/lb's..

I respectfully disagree, Not all Mercs look the same, each class has a different styling, now Porsche that's a whole other ball game, they have the same looks since the mid 90's. Great cars though, lazy design team, they just change the air intakes of position, and now they just throw a couple of LED running daylights. Now that's lazy.

True that. The Carrera GT is my favorite car of all time, probably is not as fast as an SSC Ultimate Aero, but is desperately pretty, and the engine sounds amazing. Every other Porsche are good cars, but C- on Styling.

porsches happend to be one the most aerodynamic sports cars in the world. they have a reason for there sleek shape, and are one of the best handeling cars you can get. jus look at there slalom speeds.

Only few cars have beaten Porsche on it. But you have to admit, they could do a REAL face lift. As I said before, great cars, lousy design team.

haha, the c63 amg is a sportscar and it is a 6.2 liter engine and it didn't loose cuz it's limited, the porsche is a much much better car then the merc and so is bemers, they are built to handle good, that is not the case with mercs, they are like american cars, fast in a straight line but can't handle..and it should be quicker with a 6.2 liter 450 hp engine than it is..

Track conditions ... real life? Please. 95% of all these cars are just daily drivers or toys for the wealthy. They rarely, if EVER, see track duty.
You also don't understand engine characteristics either to understand that niether the BMW engine nor the MB one is better. They're just different for different tastes.

See, a lot of fanboys talk about 100 hp/liter. They forget about torque. The M5 and M3 have so little of it compared to the 6.2L. Massive torque and roughly 80-ish hp/liter would be quicker than something with much less torque and 100 hp/liter.

Cant get an SL for the price of a C63. At least not new and not in my country. Here the cheapest SL is the 350 which is about 30% more than the the C63 and condiderably slower.
