the question is what is taxed. gas. it is a user tax. the more you drive the more you pay in taxes. fair enough. sales tax again, the more you buy the more you pay in taxes. direct taxes of labor is absolutely against the constitution. it allows the gov to dictate how much of our income we can keep. if we got rid of the income tax we would have enough money to keep up our roads, and a small military. localities generate enough revenue through taxes to keep up schools. then theres monetary policy

Well said. Every government subsidies to a degree. It may be religion, it may be health care, it may be war and oil. The question then becomes what we as a country should subsidies. The republicans seems to distance themselves from "class warfare" but the have no problem giving taxpayers money to rich company. THATS REVERSE WELFARE. the question is what is taxed. gas. it is a user tax. the more you drive the more you pay in taxes. fair enough. sales tax again, the more you buy the more you pay in taxes. direct taxes of labor is absolutely against the constitution. it allows the gov to dictate how much of our income we can keep. if we got rid of the income tax we would have enough money to keep up our roads, and a small military. localities generate enough revenue through taxes to keep up schools. then theres monetary policy

Here's an idea; how about we cut spending. We can start with those socialist programs that are causing more problems then they are solving. Perhaps we can decrease the size of government and put more responsibility back into the hands of the people; you know, the way our Founding Fathers had it. I think it was called a Constitutional Republic; now it's a Democracy and that's not a good thing. In fact, a Democracy is the worst form of government to have. (ex. the current condition of our Nation.)

Actually, if you do a little research, taxes don't pay for schools, roads, etc. Taxes directly pay the interest that the money supply is creating. Sadly, the Federal Reserve has brainwashed the general public over the years into believing that "taxes are necessary".
And politicians are nice entertainment... not meant to "change the world".
Watch the Zeitgeist film. Research the information. Become a truly informed citizen... not brainless. :P
