Forget the Hang - only one possible tuning anymore and they're not even tuned exactly. Years on the waiting list. High price. And the makers went crazy and shouldn't be supported anymore.

quick correction on my comment prior to this, some of that information is from about 2 years ago when i was looking into one. rumor is theyre somehwat cheaper now because there are a few used ones floating around since some people got frustated and couldnt play them or for whatever other reason. i saw several going used for around 3000, not sure the details on them though.

@itstony45 The high costs you see for the PANArt Hang are due to people trying to make a buck on ebay. If purchased directly from the producer, a Hang would not have cost you more than $1,800. There is only one company that makes the Hang, just like only one company makes Kleenex. The name "Hang" is what PANArt calls their hand-pan. However, there are others who make hand-pans that are suitable for musicians. Google search for Pantheonsteel, balilsteelpan, caisa-music, and Bellart (dot es)
