the way i color is with colored pencils, and i color lightly, then when i'm working with the hair, i make it dark near the edge of the hair and make it lighter as i go on.

it's hard for me cuz i am left handed and when i color it touches the maker so it smuges do you have and tips to keep it from smugeing

@LushDollGS you could try placing a clean sheet of paper between your hand and the drawing; that should help to prevent smearing. or you could rotate your drawing so you rest your hand on the uncolored or dry parts :)

@marukaitechikyuu1798 well, i got mine online from amazon and ebay, since they're the cheapest, but if your really want to buy them from a store, i believe michael's now carries them, as do many other fine art stores.

ps. if you didn't know before, they are COPIC ciao and sketch markers

@aces123abc i believe they recently started carrying them, but i wouldn't recommend it, as the markers will be far more expensive at a store than if you buy in bulk from amazon/ebay.

@AnnaStarsTv well, i bought mine on ebay and amazon, which is the cheapest way to buy them, but michael's and other art stores also sell them. they're called COPIC markers and the types with the brush tip are ciao (smaller ink barrel and cheaper) and sketch (oval ink barrel and a bit more expensive, but these are my favorite)

@Ultimatemariolover well, they're all colors from COPIC markers. the sketch style comes in 346 colors, so that's where i get them :)

@XZeroKiryuuAngelX they are copic ciao's, and yes, you can buy them from some art shops, but they're more expensive than if you were to buy them online

@sylvieslife2011 okay, thx, i searched them online but the questions is, i think you were using the one end type of copics marker and I found out that there were these 2 end copic markers and they seem cheaper...is there some sort of difference between them and which sets I should consider buyin first the type of manga i'm currently drawing now are character's from VK

@XZeroKiryuuAngelX oh, no, as far as i know the only COPIC marker with only one tip is the wide version...........ciao and sketch and traditional are all double sided (but traditional does not have a brush tip) i personally like the sketch the best, but ciao's work the same if you want a smaller, cheaper version.

@XZeroKiryuuAngelX yes, that the camera's most difficult. i have a tripod and i used to put it in front of me to draw, but recently i discovered youtube and flip vidoes, so now i film them upside down (so the tripod's not in my way) and then flip them around

@shojo4ever well, i'm going to be making tutorials on drawing basic heads sometime, but for now: his head is turned between a front view and a 3/4 view, and his eyes are unusually small and high up on his face, giving him more realistic proportions. if you can draw a basic face, it's easy to just make those small tweaks. :)

@MegaSaint11 thanks :) and yeah, they're WAYYYYYYYY too expensive. i have a pack of 72 ciao, which are cheaper than sketch, but i'm planning on getting a couple more skin tones ^.^
