The reason the Big 10 has not changed the name of their conference is because of TRADITION. I do not know a lot about SEC tradition, but I am sure they have some. College football has a lot of tradition. With a school's fight song, chant, etc.

beanie ran for 146 yards in the game and averaged 7.3 yards per carry. don't blame him for osu's struggles. but don't be confused about the 2008 game as a whole either - lsu won no doubt - but the yardage tells a different story from the florida game. against uf, osu got outgained 370-82...in the lsu game, osu actually outgained the tigers, but couldn't overcome a second-quarter barrage induced by 3 osu turnovers.

Ohio State had the better running back, linebacker and cornerback. LSU slight edge in recievers, LSU had the better D-line and the secondary as a whole was better. Congrats to LSU they just had a better team in their territory. OSU could have beaten them if they would've capitalized earlier in that game and opened up the playbook more and played with more poise. Ohio State had the better running back, linebacker and cornerback. LSU slight edge in recievers, LSU had the better D-line and the secondary as a whole was better. Congrats to LSU they just had a better team in their territory. OSU could have beaten them if they would've capitalized earlier in that game and opened up the playbook more and played with more poise. SEC as awhole is better than the Big Ten and they do recriiut better. OSU is most def a greater program in history than LSU though.

If the refs had called a fair game the Buckeyes would have won the game. The rightful champions got screwed over mainly because the ncaa was so pissed that we lost to illinois with one week remaining and it all fell apart in front of us so we got back to number one. This game was unfair completely biased and OSU got screwed over by the refs calling every single play a personal foul. The turn around is already starting to happen I mean the only good teams in the sec this year is Alabama and LSU. Ohio State beat an sec team last year so hop off their nuts. They didn't enhance their performance and the starters that played in the game proved that OSU's starters were better than Arkansas. Had they lost you wouldn't say that.
