i have a huge problem and i hope anyone on here can help. i have ap cs3 on my laptop i can import videos with sound however when i play the videos the sound works but the video freezes and when i try to stop it the program stop responding for a moment and while the vid is playing i cant use the other controls. is it because of my laptops memory or something? else does anyone have a suggestion about what i should do?

mario made a good point. premier won't support MP3. You have to convert your MP3 into a wave.

PS. The best way to create a project is thorough a story board. You have yourself a clip in minutes along with the effect that you choose between cuts. I'ts almost magical the result you get. Anyway.. I don't have time for this unless someone wants to pay me.

If the sound was captured in MP3 format it probably won't play sound, for some reason this editor hates MP3 sound formats.

use Xilisoft VC to convert mpg to avi then back to mpg then itll work in premiere

plz draw ur attention to this part: 'Basic Editing' now, if 'it doesn't support .mpg' doesnt fall in the 'basic' category then where does it fall?

2: I don't know what you mean by it won't support .mpg actually. I tried it and mine does, so you must not have the codecs for it!
