  • and now she is fired, because AKG's are made in china now

  • 1:57 . He yawns.

  • $10 Dr.dre beats Video on my Channel

  • @OnlineTutorialKing make sure to mention they are fake.

  • Last statement is incorrect especially for the headphones he was narrating about. AKG K702s are open, so it will not be silent for all but one.

  • LOL Sennheiser; enjoy your cheap chinese shit with hinges that break easily.

  • @Coucho Depends on the model. HD650s are made in Ireland. HD800s are made in Germany. Lower models are probably made in China.

  • Sennheiser > AKG >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Beats

  • @redbeast2

bro beats are pretty good yo

    don't slander them

  • @freshhh1994 Really? If you think beats are good, please don't waste your money, go out and buy some ATH M50s, or some V-Moda LP2s Beats are terrible.

  • @nightowl217 audiotechnicas FTW!

  • @freshhh1994 SURE, THEY'RE GOOD, BUT 4 TIMES THE PRICE

  • @freshhh1994

    (ಠ_ృ)

  • @freshhh1994 Ye beats are pretty good yo if you compare them with cheapest of Sennheiser's and AKG's....or any other respectable headphone maker. If you compare them with headphones that cost the same as them, then you see that beats actually REALLY suck.

  • Comment removed

  • Lets just make this clear:

If you buy "Gaming" headsets, you're a tool.

If you buy Beats, you're a tool.

Budget gaming setup: AD700/HD558 + Asus Xonar DG = ~$130.00

The DG has a better DAC, and has Dolby headphone for gaming/movies. If you need a mic get a Zalman clip-on mic for $5.

M50s can be found for 100 dollars and sound better than Beats. With $350 you can get Denon D2000 or Hifiman HE-400 or Beyer DT990 which can scale to world class performance.

  • @Fo0bar1 Beats are pieces of shit I agree, But I mainly got them for style. And Most Gaming Headphones optimized it so that u can hear FootSteps/GunShots and etc Louder.

  • @Fo0bar1 I think a lot of people like headphones that don't look like shit...

  • @NerdRagetastic Implying that your opinion applies to everyone. If you're so concerned about looks you shouldn't even be considering audio quality at all.

  • @NerdRagetastic a lot of people like headphones that dont sound like 15 dollar JVC RX300 headphones.

  • I have K701 (the video is the K702 same headphone with different color and removable cable)

and I can hear them in my kitchen downstairs.. So they are not silent to all...

  • @BoostedBB6 you must have a really small house then

  • @cmeejproductions Free no by no.

  • thumbs up if you are using headphones!

  • "Silent to all but one individual." Not the way I use headphones.

  • @syn010110 Fuck off, if your gonna look at products like that way everything is mass-market shit.. And if thet were mass market they woudn't be 180 dollars..

  • 4:38 carefully my ass, she's pushing so hard on that thing it's gonna pop the driver out of the other side. Made in China fml

  • @SkinnedLynryd Those hands look awfully white for China.

  • Lol, people comparing gamer headphones and beats to AKG :P

  • @meatabuse Not a fair comparison for those Beats or gaming headsets, is it? :D

  • @syn010110 I guess if they've never walked into a hi-fi headphone store and auditioned some of the better regarded brands they'd just operate with whatever they think they know. As they say; ignorance is curable, stupidity is terminal.

  • @meatabuse AKG is the glorious master race of all headphones. People just don't understand that for some reason.

  • @hockeyplaya131 That's stretching it just a bit. AKG is no doubt a tier 1 can company, but there are better cans out there by other companies.

  • @meatabuse That's because AKG currently doesnt have a real flagship full size headphones. AKG K701/702 and Q701 are exellent cans in many ways better than other headphones you can get for the same price, but of course you cant compare them to stuff much more expensive stuff from Stax, Audeze, Hifiman, Sennheiser, Beyerdynamic. However, AKG does have a K3003 in-ear monitor headphones which is almost 2000 dollars and is probably one of the best pieces of audio equipment on market.

  • @hockeyplaya131 What about Beyerdynamics

  • @meatabuse i was going to get AKG q701 but found out its not really good w/o an amp so I could just go for audio technica mth-50 for only $130 (and great sound) or sennheiser hd 598 for about the same price

  • @YouSuckMikeHawk Can't go wrong with the ATH-M50s; superb value for the money! I have a pair hooked up to a FiiO E10 DAC amp which is what I use for sample engineering/mixing and general fun stuff :)

  • akg, what a good brand

  • No wonder I paid 500 bucks for my AKG k701 some years ago...its 80% hand-crafted lol

  • I'm wearing my Logiteck headphones right now, and it's got great audio range and performance. My other headphones which are made by Sony are awesome :)

  • They should make how in ear graphics head phones because they are a ton smaller

  • Wow this is really cool. I'm using a pair of Shure SRH940's but I never really thought about how they're made. I have to admit, AKG headphones are very good-looking, especially compared to the Beats by Dre. I might purchase a K702 since they're supposedly similar in sound compared to the SRH940's.

Now if only they had a "How Orthodynamic headphones are Made" video...THAT would be awesome! :DD

  • @miceblue425 IMO, Shure's SRH 840 are on par with these Akg's K702 on the video, since i've auditioned both. I don't know about the SRH940's, but this is what i've to say compraing them to the Shure line. Both headphones are simply superb.

  • @fredXXXXfred Hm, I see. I took a look at the frequency response curves from headphone(dot)com and it looks like the SRH940's are definitely closer to the K702's than the SRH840's are. From a bunch of forums, I have read that the SRH840's seem to have a slight mid-bass hump/emphasis and it's shown to be true on the response curve.

  • Yeah AKG!

  • I just ate the best apple :)

  • 5 people are deaf

  • there should be a - how its made-PORN!

  • Tritton Ax Pro!

  • @i24kilzz Worst headphones I've ever heard.

  • @21fretsalute

Haha sure, you have never heard them, becuase you can't pay such headphones..

  • @i24kilzz Pay such headphones? I'm sure you meant to say afford, but you're an idiot gamer who buys that crap.

  • @21fretsalute

Afford and can't pay are the exactly the same things, stupid. And if you think Tritton Ax Pro headsets are crap, you are mentally disturbed.

  • @i24kilzz "you can't pay such headphones" isn't a sentence you dumb fuck. It's either "you can't afford" or "you can't pay for". Tell your whore mother not to smoke crack next time she's pregnant mmmkay? And FYI, I tested the piece of shit Trittons because I found them for cheap and managed to sell them at a profit. I own Beyerdynamic DT880 and Denon D2000 headphones which cost three times as much as your gamer shit.

  • @i24kilzz They're mass-market crap. Deal with it. :P

  • @i24kilzz I have the exact headphones in this video. I also have the tritton ax pros. Let me tell you something, the AKG's are thousands of times better than the trittons.

  • @mindkilla123

lol the 40 dollar crappy headset? fuck off

  • @i24kilzz I don't own akgs, but you sound like someone who owns headphones made of feces.

  • @i24kilzz STOP BITCHIN NOBODY GIVES TWO SHITS IF YOU CAN'T AFFORD IT OR WHATEVER THE HELL YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT; FUCKING STOP!

  • @21fretsalute I tried to get i24kilzz to shut up, I gotchyo back

  • Yeah I've got a set of AKG'S.

  • @karatebuff Which ones do you have, do you got the k701s by any chance?

  • @perlewitzaudio Sorry mate just the bog standard AKG K 321earphones sorry if I've mislead you.

  • @karatebuff Oh, no prob man. Just wondering, Thanks! Are they good headphones?

  • id like to see ''how its made:dildos'' and hearing the narrator describing the production of the...ahem...dildo and vibrator.then showing women telling what they think about those products and reviewing em AND showing on camera how they...''use''em.that would be nice

  • Im more interested in how the music was made and how they managed to create such generic annoyingness lol.

  • how it's made beats by dre

  • @Redspark77

I won't be surprised :D sorry but those are overrated and overpriced piece of j*nk

  • @jmwreck

The Q701's seen in the video are twice as much as the beats.

  • @Redspark77 Life's gotta be fun when you're clueless....

  • Im using headphones right this minute what a covincidence

  • AKG. awesome brand.

  • made in china

  • Stop fighting everybody, they're made in Austria, by Chinese people.

  • @GregoMorgan Actually I think I Head-Fi that manufacuring went to China %100 as of 2008/2009. In this vid I believe the drivers are made in Austria while headphones are assembled in China. Not sure exactly whats going on in late 2011 but I'm betting all manufacturing is in China.....drivers AND assembly.

  • I have those exact same headphones...AKG 702. Pretty good for the price ($350), way off the list price of $550.

  • the parts they used to make it looked cheap

how is the quality on these headphones ?

    any wire breakage ?

  • @labobo They're fantastic headphones (AKG 702). No wire breakage. They're a well known brand, they're made in Austria.

  • @squiresuzuki

I think AKG have started manufacturing their headphones in Chinese factories now. I have a fairly new pair of K240's and they don't have "Made in Austria" printed on them, which I was kinda disappointed by (and no, they aren't fakes).

  • @DaydreamNationx24

I bought some 242's a year or 2 ago and they still mention 'made in Austria'

  • @DaydreamNationx24 Mine have "Made in Austria" on them, K702 master race!

  • headphone doesn't work ?

  • I am crying of laughter at the idiots who think this is made in China and not high-end. Those are the AKG K702s, they are reference headphones meant for proffesional use. They ARE, made in Austria.

  • lol.... made in .... china !

  • @arnakie Uh, no. No it wouldn't.

  • made in austria? more like made in china

  • @paulceltics well, maybe just a few hi end series of AKG headphones that are made in Austria.

and AKG is an Austrian company

  • my headphones always break so iam here to know how to make my own and save money

  • I posted that at 9:50 and it says I posted it at 8:50

  • My head phones are better

  • Steelseries FTW!<3

  • How to listen to a headphone without using any headphone.

    1. Plug your headphone

    2. Place a mic against the headphone

    3. Input the mic to an amplifier with standard speakers

    4. Now you should be able to enjoy the sound with your headphone without wearing one

  • and this isnt a hi end headphone

  • How to make an improvised headphones

    1. Get a stetoscope

    2. Wear the stetoscope

    3. Put the tip of the stetoscope to the speaker or where the music is coming from

    4. Then, you should hear the music on the stetoscope

    Thumbs up if it worked

  • @xcalibur0645 HaHa. Nice one.

  • really... almost 300usd for piece of plastic...

  • 2 giant plastic discs and 2 small speakers xD

  • Yeah only you can hear it unless you have beats lol

  • Next time, they should do this at the Grado Labs facilities in Brooklyn! Now they make sweet headphones!

  • Thank you for the music!! But what hell of a job!!

  • Why are people saying they're Sennheiser? They're AKG 272 HD's...

  • @Exzesion No, they're AKG K702 lol

  • €208,99 nice price

  • That feel towards the end when you are putting your K701 back together after recabling it. =]

  • Seeing how much work goes into building headphones makes me feel better about paying so much for them.

  • @roger62383 makes me feel better about paying so little for them XD

  • @roger62383 this headphones cost 500 bucks dude! 4 dollar headphones are made out of shit

  • Sennheiser HD555, lasted me a good 4 years and going. Frame started cracking because i threw it when i get pissed. Amazing quality all the way.

  • @NWONEWSNOW Yeahhh, Aha indeed! THAT right there is a Chinese person! Totally inconceivable that an Asian person might live in Europe. Totally inconceivable

*Watching video, everything is calm, generic background music...Asian factory worker appears.* OMG MADE IN CHINA. My Austrian headphones are junk! *throws the headphones on the floor and smashes them*

If that Asian woman came up to me and spoke German, my head would probably disintegrate because she is breaking the laws of physics.

  • @NWONEWSNOW Dude.... 90% of consumer market electroncs are made in china. If it's an austrian company they can still make it in china and sell it as austrian.

  • i love my akg's k701's the best headphones i have ever own'd

  • never let a woman do a mans job XD

  • These are AKG's highest end headphones. They run $589 and are still made by hand in Austria.

  • I see people complaining but my K601's are rock solid. It's ok for a pair to last a year if you spent like 30$ on them, don't be surprised.

  • Ha ha ha, I want to see my cheap headphones are made.

  • Thumbs up if your using headphones while watching this video.

  • @vballplyr1111 I was thinking about doing that! But I am alone in the office, so speakers are fine too :p

  • @vballplyr1111 Iam Using Earphones;)

  • AUSTRIA !!! :p

  • mfw when they make a how its made:how its made videos

  • you guys do know that AKG is one of the best headphone company right?

  • @1ben1245 You're right, to a certain degree. AKG has managed to make a name for itself, but as people begin to realize how exactly they're made, and that they tend to stop working quite quickly, people will put two and two together and understand just how much AKG doesn't care during the assembly process. I myself have some AKG K181 headphones and they're great, but I can start to see the bad assembly process coming back to haunt me. I think I'll stick with my Sony MDRV700 headphones for now.

  • Smart&Safe headphone conduct the sound from cell phone conversations and music through a hollow tube filled with air, without metal wires. This is scientifically proven to reduce the electromagnetic radiation reaching the user’s sensitive ear and brain area by up to 98%. These headphones are ultra stylish and are available at expressbuy123

  • @SmartAndSafe do you know what effect the headphones have had on soceity?

  • what machines were made to make the headphones?

  • where can you find these small drivers?

  • cool, thanks

  • "silent to all but one individual" hahaha these are open headphones and whatever you listen to everyone can listen to as well, just not as loud obviously.

  • haha I just got these headphones last night, can't wait for them to burn in! 200-300 hour gahhh!

  • @mindphlux

You are a tool, burn in doesn't exist.

    Enjoy them or sell them.

  • @stalin133333337 haha damn you're an idiot

  • @mindphlux

Ad hominem. You are insulting to my intelligence. Have fun believing in faeries and embarrassing yourself. Tool.

  • @stalin133333337 Shut the fuck up asshat. I don't know if you knew, but a tool is someone that is being used and is too stupid to realize it. I've had only one driver on a couple of headphones replaced and It takes a while for both drivers to even out again after. If you can't hear a difference then you're wasting money. I've been producing music with high end headphones for years so don't come telling me I don't know what I'm talking about.

  • @mindphlux

Ad hominem again. Your logic is impressively flawed.

Please learn how to argue as even if you were correct (which of course you are not) you have failed miserably in supporting your point of view. There is no substantial evidence drivers need current to pass through them to "loosen up" or that there are sonic differences.

You fall for placebo, therefore you are a tool. Please continue to prove my point.

    Get on my level, kid.

Hopefully your music is better than your logic.

  • @stalin133333337 Well excuse me for trusting my ears and not some random fuck on YouTube. Fuck off.

  • @mindphlux

It would be excusable if trusting your ears actually amounted to something in this scenario. Like I said, enjoy your headphones, or sell them. Burn in won't change them.

  • @stalin133333337 Burn in has changed them. At first they were very bright and the bass was lacking. It's been a couple of months since I got them and they are much more balanced now. I am comparing them with a pair of Beyerdynamic DT-880 Pro headphones and a pair Dynaudio BM5a mkII bi-powered monitor speakers. Like I already said, there's absolutely nothing you can say to change my mind about this. I trust my ears, not you.

  • @mindphlux That was one pointless argument about burn-in's. The video sure was correct when they say that everyones a music critic...

Anyway, being an owner of the 702's I personally believe in burn-in. My thoughts is that if anything moves (vibrate in this case) then the item can be "worked in". The 702's have been noted as to having weak bass and stiff in the beginning but It definitely has gotten better over time. Bass has improved dramatically, I actually get oomph in some tunes.

  • @GunzTheDuel Yeah definitely. These headphones definitely ease in over time. I know I'm not just imagining thinbgs because I still listen to music on my BM5a monitors and other cheaper pairs of headphones all the time. I guess there's just no way of getting through some people. I bet you he doesn't even own a good pair of headphones or high end DA converters.

  • @stalin133333337 Hey man. Burn-in happens. 1) Burn-in is not only a matter of applying current, but is also a type of mechanical stress relief, especially in drivers. 2) There's PLENTY of empirical proof that burn-in leads drivers, cables, transformers, transistors, etc. to change sound over time. 3) Ad hominem attacks are outside of logic, so for you to derail them as illogical is illogical. 4) So is elevating your position as 'logical,' since you make no use of logic, despite your claims.

  • @catmarauder

It was not character assassination. I was merely pointing out how his anecdotal evidence is just that, and not evidence to support his claim. His logic is flawed. This is not an ad hominem attack, it was an observation.

Lastly perhaps I did make a sweeping statement. There is indeed burn in, and there are small changes that can happen for various reasons, electrolytic capacitors will evaporate over time and change values etc. Sonically though there is no evidence.

  • There are countless studies showing when people are tested they fail miserably (generally just better or worse than chance) at detecting cables, and even amps.

A multimeter is infinitely more sensitive to electrical phenomena then our ears as it should be. Most people cannot even tell something so simple as an impedance mismatch between channels in a 2.0 system.

Burn in is a product of the mind as waterfall plots and FR graphs don't change over time. If we are talking 30 years maybe.... or not

  • Lastly, you really are the pot calling the kettle black with regards to crying about ad hominem.

My logic is sound, therefore I am logical. That is not self aggrandizement... that is logic lmfao. "get on my level" was referring to the fact he was unable to debate properly and would need to get there before continuing. I don't make 'em, just call 'em.

When people insist on arguing based on how they feel vs what they know, it is insulting to my intelligence. A I am by no means an expert here.

  • @stalin133333337 The truth is your argument consists of one faulty point (falsely claiming, twice, that certain scientific evidence does not exist) and 16 points of blatant character assassination (aka, ad hominem attacks - yes I counted). Your position thus has nothing to do with logic. So the mandate for others to "get on your level" of logic is ironic. Nobody wants to be on your level - because nobody wants to be a spiteful character assassin who replaces rationality with self-aggrandizement.

  • @stalin133333337 I saw your argument about burn-in's and I was surprised by the amount of "defense?" involved. Just 1 question. I'm failing to see how one can be a tool by believing in it. As far as i know, there is no real negative outcome for believing in it. Sure, you might be brainwashed into think its getting better but what harm is being caused?

I'm trying to be neutral here, but I found the amount of punches thrown to be completely unnecessary.

  • |

    v wtf.

  • I had K701 but weren't good for me. Really painful headband. I was feeling those bumps after 10min and it was terible. Both drivers were damaged, probably from that crappy soldering. Big fail.

  • How many do they produce a day? It requires lots of human work.

  • anyone know where to buy cheap headphones i need the big noise proof ones... since i listen to instrimental music it is hard to hear them in noisy places... and it looks cool >_<

  • @hookedonpahonics lol? If you don't have anything to say that actually has to do with previous comments or the video itself, then fuck off.

  • @hookedonpahonics

    1000 thumbs down

  • how do they make the machines that make these

  • @remirap

I would also like to know that.... May i suggest they make a show titled: How it's Made: A uv ray light emitting solidification machine....and so on and so forth

  • She's good at placing a diaphragm precisely on the "housing" !

  • That's sexy news. Audio technicians are all female.

  • @xxdanxexx

    kitchen.

  • Nice

  • Dont get Beats...get Radius: TWF11R (first DDM in-canal) or Shure SRH 840

  • 4:46 Um...not with K702s. They're most definitely open back.

Didn't know they had done this episode. This was like porn for headphone geeks like me.

  • grado/alessandro ftw

  • any Sennheiser's fanboy here?

  • @ffdxshow

lol..eh? i tought there were only Apple's fanboys

    Sennheiser's products aren't bad, i think.

  • do any of you know where i can get headphones made from scratch?

  • this is great, its my favorite show. gotta love the science channel! i would like to see higher end headphones being made. maybe some in-ear type, or if we were really lucky, how "beats by dre" are made haha awesome vid!
