I am of the understanding that they are a secular music group from Denmark. Two are muslim and one is christian. Although thier music has religious conotations they are not nessesarily nasheed.

Sister, I've been thinking and I'd like to give you true sisterly advice, not as you tried to ....If it is posible you should try to study into the early history of islam and see where Omar(ra) had forbid women to wear hijab as it would endanger thier lives,and how the parts of the body as proper hijab are in the Qur'an but the styles of them are not mentioned as it is a personal and cultural choice. for me shalwar are pants therefor mens clothing so I don't wear them.

but for you they are nessesary for modesty. Each culture has its own standards. Some of these outfits I would wear myself , others I wouldn't. But I wouldn't judge someone for wearing them because I don't know where they came from in life. I grew up hearing a very good saying ..."Love the sinner but hate the sin" The Prophet (SWS) taught this as well and we all must follow his(SWS) example. Also when we see an oppression to speak out against it, I must speak for the bennifit of the new converts

Thats right , I'm not a baby, I converted to Islam when I was 14 ,thats 23 years ago.Longer than you've been born. I wear jilbab and khimar and I have met many people like you who look to judge and condemn people. New converts need to ease into Islam or they don't last! Although I don't wear these styles myself I can apprieciate how it would help someone start to follow the right path, step by step.We as sisters in Islam need to encourage new sisters not discourage them.Assalamu Alaicom.

Thats great :) make all new converts here in the west feel like its useless to try to step closer to the propper deen a little at a time while you sit with your muslim family in a muslim country and feel you're better than them. While they have to work and fight for what they choose to believe in. Yeah, the hijabs aren't perfect but they are still closer to islam than anything here in the west. I'm a convert and really sick of people like you who know nothing of changing everything for Allah.
