I'm new to tracking with third party software, but may i know why for object/face tracking that u solve the tracks on the camera instead on the geom/character rig itself? I'm a bit confused :P
@asglu hi asglu, yes u may, im using a nvidia quadro card - about two years old, nothing really fancy though, 10gb of ram, quad core amd black series, and an asus motherboard.....and of course lots of coloured neon lights, every knows light make your computer run faster ;)
@CurrentAnimation Thanks for reply. AFAIK graphics card for better quality of view but rendering speed depends on your 10gb ram, right? You using windows 7 64bit? Can I use game graphics card that supports openGL 4.1 and 1GB DDR3 like ATI Radeon HD 6450 (because in my country nvidia quadro / ATI fireGL card is not available)? Whats your opinion.
@asglu rendering speeds vary based on how and what your rendering, when rendering massive scenes you can render in CMD line in windows, i know you can do it in Maya, im not sure about matchmover, and i think the bad video quality is mostly because of the compression the free screen recording software put on, which is a shame, anything else just ask, ill help the best i can :)
great video CurrentAnimation. i just picked up Matchmoving on my own. would like to know whether you have a better quality of this tutorial because I can't see the settings you choose during your tutorial. thanks.
