I like how Wheeler (Rourake) has a total plan to Wooo while it works, yet parts of it does not,, unlike other woman his character has properly experienced. His intentions are for her to let go and live more freely, as he done before, but he really falls for her and allows her to bring out a side of him under his wooing personality.

@NYtoTX she though acted way too slow, every time he pushed the bar too far she still stayed around, she is never in charge or in power, so the dynamic is not my style of this movie. But thanks for sharing your view point and least she got it finally. The producers worked up though on the zeitgeist and made Angie Everhard in 9 1/2 , part 2 as the one in charge someone that that stands level to him. Still I see the level of communication between the characters as too flat.
What did the producers think with Mickey Rourke back in the day the formula must have been: Take sexy man, take sexy woman, make them talk weird crap, make her have no selfesteem instead that any normal woman would tell the shmock to take a hike.

I met part of Mickeys entourage in the 90's and they were some good people, tough as shit, some of them were also his movers, one of them trained with Mickey, of them gave Mickey that beanie he wore with the logo "White Trash", and just some shit kickers. Kelly Labrocks drunk brother was a friend, but he was fairly soft and just an alcoholic. I gave a ride to one of Mickeys guys and besides the randam shit, he is a wonderful talent, & I agree T!

He hardly looks the same; he did have a lot of plastic surgery and pain on his face - it got really messed up in the ring. It is ashame he pursued that type of life. I think he was a very good actor. I am anxious now to see his new film, "The Wrestler". Did hear good things, although wrestling is hardly something that interests me personally.

But Mickey is the only one who has a naturalistic style when he speaks and with his esxpressions and body language. I think DiCaprio will get there one day but Mickey was also similar to Marlon in that he had this soft loverboy face and a prizefighter physique. Well...he WAS a prizefighter.

This is the movie that ruined him for awhile. He went from playing really interesting characters to this greasy rico sauve. Glad he's back on game now though.

They are great, the movie is easy and full of passion! Gee I can't believe it I saw it 18years ago at the cinema - my god this movie is timeless.

CARRE' OTIS was the most beautiful woman of EVERY TIME in wild orchid. Perfect body, incredible look..unforgetable. After 20 years, her beauty in the movie is more of all moderns woman's look. try to remember.
