@matias676 To get the "lost chapter" in Bayonetta you have to accumulate a total of 10 Million Halos. All the Halos you've already spent or will spend, add to the total number of Halos until you reach 10,000,000. (No, there's no way to check how many Halos you've spent)
@GERARDO4766 you can either get platinum or pure platinum on every chapter or spend 1 million halos to unlock her at furthest telephone in the plaza in chap 2 verse 3
First off, You have to get all Platinum on NORMAL to unlock Jeanne. Secondly, its not that hard to unlock her people.I did it (check the GameFAQS Bayonetta forum). You just need to concentrate on not getting hit. everything else will fall into place.

@gomes1258 because, he is the shop vendor at "Gates Of Hell" so if you played as Rodin, there would be two Rodin's. Besides, Bayonetta is the main character and she doesn't suit as a shop vendor. =/

Hey, I have a question. When you start a new game as Jeanne and Little King Zero, does the Play History page retain your high scores from previous playthroughs?
Normal mode's a bitch. It jumps in difficulty too quickly. :( I got mostly Stone awards. On the other hand, Easy and Super Easy were TOO easy for me....
You unlock Zero with 5 million halos and the payphone trick OR you can beat angel slayer (51 verses). If you want to unlock angel slayer you have to finish every alfheim and THEN you have to beat the game and you will get it like you get everything else when you beat the game. If you don't beat the game you will only get the appropriate trophies upon finding and completing the last portal. Hopefully this helps most of you out asking this. :D
I just finish the game on Easy difficulty. I am starting on Normal on the second run. In order to unlock Jeanne, do I need to start a clean game file or I can just do it on the Saved game file?
Man I've been trying to get pure plat/plat on each stage on normal - the fucking monsters on the xbox seem 20x faster and harder than on the ps3 and yes I've checked lol it seems that way xD!!
I also don't get something...for some reason I keep having "blank" verses...Are there secret stages or some shit?...If so - damn they are well hidden....

Zero sucks! I played all those hours and to my dismay, Zero is a weakling, you can kill'em with a flick of a booger! Get hit once and you lose 99% of your life and should you get grazed by a fly, you die. Seriously wtf?

its is sounds so impossible for me to beat all chapters with straight platinums i mean like i cant even the beat the chapter without getting hurt i mean i be doing good then all of a sudden i get hit and i lose health those dang angels they get on my nerves oh normal its kind of easy but at the same time its diffucult to win a platinum without losing any health espically on the 1-4 chapters

I don't get what you're saying. Do you mean you barely ever used the manual save feature? I would think that it would be obvious not to rely only on autosave as long as there's a manual save option with selectable files.
@Dreamy1988 i did manually save.. but i dont see why they cant take the extra 20 min to code-input a seperate auto-save file for the game to insure 100% satisfaction for fans who may forget to manually save bc they so cant wait to begin the game! and btw

I you complete the game you can play again with all the stuff you have if you don't get platinum on all normal chapters the first time you can replay them. But make manuel saves so you don't overwrite the autosave with worse awards.
Well, there is a way to get high combos. You just have to be very careful when doing it. Use the gaze of despair accessory and you'll get high combos. (the angels don't flinch until you hit them with a wicked weave and they attack faster)
My friend you want to unlock Jeanne OK. I will send you a video and see how to unlock very easyly without geting Plantium on all chapter for 100s hours.
*sigh* On IGN, *this is true, it works* on chap2 where 3 telephones are, each having its own cheat use, u need a specific amount of halos and insert the code in. ur halos automatically go in, and you get the character. I received Jeane for.....1 mil i believe? Zero is 5 mill, annnnd...yea :P

I just played through easy, thinking nothing would happen. After I finished, it told me I unlocked the Immortal Marionette, which immediately told me afterwards that Jeanne was now a playable character
the butterfly accessory should absorb any damage you take in exchange for magic, but if you keep linking combs your magic will keep refilling making it easier to rank up high combos.
@cain035 just look up the telephone cheats, as long as you have 1 million halos. it's the best way, and it doesn't interfere with achievements or trophies.
@cain035 Why dont u just...Cheat? It wont block achievements or anything and on chapter 7 if u equip the serenes light and gaze of despair along with durga and odette you can get one million halos in the boss fight (if you do it right must be done on normal or higher also)
Just a little something from me to people that find this game far to easy for them. Why not try playing the game on non-stop climax mode with the Gaze of Despair equipped at all times?
Bayonetta has a way more refined and better designed combat system than any DMC game,sure button mash away that may carry you through normal mode,but this game is all about hard and climax mode,Yes the story is a big joke but so is DMC's story.Its all just an excuse to bash monsters in either game.Hardly about deep character development right?

@s1dney its wrong but what they mean is that is easier to get platinum in normal mode with inmortal marionette cause u do a lot of combos that increase the possibilities of getting platinum medal in each level any way is a bit hard.
I used to play DMC but stopped at part 3 halfway, now this is much tougher and it's insane indeed to get everything in this game, especially Father Rodin's ass whooping :P
i also played devil may cry. now i'm much better at bayonetta. needed some time to get used to the evading instead of jumpin out of attacks and the enemies who attack you out of your combos caused some trouble.
@digggert Bayonetta is easier to do combos in. Way easier. I barely need any skill. I play on the hardest mode like it's nothing. Just evade and attack. repeat afterwards.
DMC i had to jump cancel or switch styles or time my attacks better.

Devil may Cry 4 was easy you idiot, that was the point of it. BUT, it has a MUCH HARDER combat system to master than that easy fucking bayonetta. Bayonetta was easy on all the modes. If you have trouble with it, you just suck. I mastered the combat system in a breeze and beat the game 100% on all hardest modes several times within 2 weeks time. The game is collecting dust now. Btw, DMC4 on PC is harder, you probably played on consoles, and DMC1 DMD was O_O".

i disagree with what you say. devil may cry 4 was quite hard and required you think about what you are pressing. bayonetta requires more of the counter/dodging skill and some moves you have to think about. although mostly is button mashing i always think about what i am doing. Bayonetta is extreme on hard and climax mode, dunno what the fuck you are on about, it takes precision on bosses to dodge attacks and learn there every movement to require a better medal. I dont believe what you say noob!!
Devil May Cry has the more difficult combat system to master (MUCH MORE DIFFICULT) and had harder combos to master. But in terms of the game itself, its fucking easy for me. DMC4 was easy, and that was the intent, because Capcom wanted to introduce more people to it and just get dmc freshly into next gen with a nice game. Bayonetta was easy man, I don't know about you, but on hard and climax mode, I already knew the dodges well. Just dodge A LOT, and do it wisely. You're fine. Easy game. Period.
@kodi1721 honestly DMC games are much harder than this, this game is better in presentation but difficulty it falls short the only so called difficult things in this are playing as Jeanne and Zero and fighting Father Rodin
excuse me have you even played this game i died many times just on noramal devil maycry i beat it on hard dieing like 7 times, devil may cry is so simple with this actrually taking precise timing and the right combos not just the same action over and over and over, this takes quite the amount of skill so dont spout nonsense

I randomly just found this out myself 'cause I was also wondering why I haven't unlocked the Lost Chapter after completing all the Alfheim portals.

its is sounds so impossible for me to beat all chapters with straight platinums i mean like i cant even the beat the chapter without getting hurt i mean i be doing good then all of a sudden i get hit and i lose health those dang angels they get on my nerves oh normal its kind of easy but at the same time its diffucult to win a platinum without losing any health espically on the 1-4 chapters

wow ok so i started a new game for Jeanne and it totally erased my Bayonetta file completely.. thoroughly unimpressed by this entire loading/saving system that Platinum Games failed to perfect

I don't get what you're saying. Do you mean you barely ever used the manual save feature? I would think that it would be obvious not to rely only on autosave as long as there's a manual save option with selectable files.

I you complete the game you can play again with all the stuff you have if you don't get platinum on all normal chapters the first time you can replay them. But make manuel saves so you don't overwrite the autosave with worse awards.

Well, there is a way to get high combos. You just have to be very careful when doing it. Use the gaze of despair accessory and you'll get high combos. (the angels don't flinch until you hit them with a wicked weave and they attack faster)

*sigh* On IGN, *this is true, it works* on chap2 where 3 telephones are, each having its own cheat use, u need a specific amount of halos and insert the code in. ur halos automatically go in, and you get the character. I received Jeane for.....1 mil i believe? Zero is 5 mill, annnnd...yea :P

I just played through easy, thinking nothing would happen. After I finished, it told me I unlocked the Immortal Marionette, which immediately told me afterwards that Jeanne was now a playable character

one tip I can offer is using the butterfly accessory and spamming the crap out of it so your combo won't break

the butterfly accessory should absorb any damage you take in exchange for magic, but if you keep linking combs your magic will keep refilling making it easier to rank up high combos.

@cain035 just look up the telephone cheats, as long as you have 1 million halos. it's the best way, and it doesn't interfere with achievements or trophies.

@cain035 Why dont u just...Cheat? It wont block achievements or anything and on chapter 7 if u equip the serenes light and gaze of despair along with durga and odette you can get one million halos in the boss fight (if you do it right must be done on normal or higher also)

Bayonetta has a way more refined and better designed combat system than any DMC game,sure button mash away that may carry you through normal mode,but this game is all about hard and climax mode,Yes the story is a big joke but so is DMC's story.Its all just an excuse to bash monsters in either game.Hardly about deep character development right?

i also played devil may cry. now i'm much better at bayonetta. needed some time to get used to the evading instead of jumpin out of attacks and the enemies who attack you out of your combos caused some trouble.

@digggert Bayonetta is easier to do combos in. Way easier. I barely need any skill. I play on the hardest mode like it's nothing. Just evade and attack. repeat afterwards.
DMC i had to jump cancel or switch styles or time my attacks better.

Devil may Cry 4 was easy you idiot, that was the point of it. BUT, it has a MUCH HARDER combat system to master than that easy fucking bayonetta. Bayonetta was easy on all the modes. If you have trouble with it, you just suck. I mastered the combat system in a breeze and beat the game 100% on all hardest modes several times within 2 weeks time. The game is collecting dust now. Btw, DMC4 on PC is harder, you probably played on consoles, and DMC1 DMD was O_O".

i disagree with what you say. devil may cry 4 was quite hard and required you think about what you are pressing. bayonetta requires more of the counter/dodging skill and some moves you have to think about. although mostly is button mashing i always think about what i am doing. Bayonetta is extreme on hard and climax mode, dunno what the fuck you are on about, it takes precision on bosses to dodge attacks and learn there every movement to require a better medal. I dont believe what you say noob!!

Devil May Cry has the more difficult combat system to master (MUCH MORE DIFFICULT) and had harder combos to master. But in terms of the game itself, its fucking easy for me. DMC4 was easy, and that was the intent, because Capcom wanted to introduce more people to it and just get dmc freshly into next gen with a nice game. Bayonetta was easy man, I don't know about you, but on hard and climax mode, I already knew the dodges well. Just dodge A LOT, and do it wisely. You're fine. Easy game. Period.
