Only the last words, those pronounced by an old woman's voice, reads what's written on the fallen postcard: it was a birthday postcard sent to the man they were celebrating by his old mother - she was makihg him her best wishes....
..why picture is so dark ?? its pity. but its true that Bardin is one of soviet geniuses.

'wish I could understand the dialog (Bardin's other shorts I have seen seems to use gibberish), but it was fascinating enough.
