hi,you two are great musicians ,i really like this tune.im a new zealander but i have english, scottish and american roots so i feel this music is in my blood.im trying to learn banjo, guitar and mandolin so watching and listening to you is very helpful ,and inspirering.
@mrpaisleyshirt Thanks for the great message! We are glad to know how much this music is appreciated around the world and we are humbled to think that we might play it well enough to inspire others.
I don't think I can express how much I've come to appreciate your music! I am possibly the only 19 year old on the face of the earth that loves to listen to this and let myself float off.. I also can't tell you how many pre-med assignments this music has helped me cope with..keep up the good work and I hope y'all strike it rich someday!
@cwarrider What an inspirational message - thank you for that! The Appalachian Stringband Festival in Clifftop, WV starts this week and runs thru next weekend. It's the big daddy of the old time music festivals. Come on down! Mac
@annieandmac I would love NOTHING more than to attend. Unfortunately I'm stranded in Florida for the time being. I will certainly come up to see y'all perform and cheer you on when I finally get out of Medical School
@cwarrider i am 24 and I find myself in the same place as you.. floating off. You are not the only young person who appreciates good music, I assure you. ;-)
I close my eyes, and just listen to this sweet music. And it makes me sooo relaxed and happy. Your old-timey sound ranks right up there with the best I've heard - anywhere, anytime. As the beloved, dearly-departed but immortal John Hartford used to say : old-time music is meant to be played not too fast, not too slow ... but just right (John was of course referring to timing & rhythm). Annie and Mac, you have got that magic that John Hartford talks about. You are a joy to listen to. THANK YOU !
Thanks for the nice comments. My guitar is a D-41 Sigma, made in Japan in 1970's for the Martin Company. I bought it used and I love it. Keep on pickin' and enjoying the music!
Thank you for the message. We have only recorded this on youtube. Adam Hurt has a great version with just banjo on his "Intrigue" CD. We may record it on our next CD. Best
When I hear your music I am taken back to the old days. Both of you look so happy together it shows through your music that you love each other and share your love through the music you play. may the band play on for both of you.
