Obviously John Cena doesn't care about the WWE title anymore.. He proved that when he gave up his title shot at TLC so that Zack Ryder got a United States title match. Needless to say, the Royal Rumble rumor wouldve been horrible.

@SVETV988 Because of Cena's gimmick, he has a moral obligation to do the right thing and be selfless. If you really look at how the Cena Kane Ryder storyline has developed its almost as if WWE is portraying Cena as a victim of his own kindness as opposed to Ryder who keeps getting injured.
@SVETV988 actually Sean, Cean already had to make that choice as to whether he'd try to win the wwe title again. It was Cena who sacrificed his own opportunity for a WWE title match so Zack Ryder could get a US title match against Ziggler. That's how WWE resolved it.

"because i acomplished everything i wanted in the wwe" and i wanted to do more" by the rock going to movies he opened the door for the wwe. he opened the door for every wwe superstar that has been in wwe films. same with jericho. he wanted to be a rockstar and a wwe wrestler? whats wrong with both? people like you dont understand that people might have other dreams they wanna do in life,
