  • I remember Honey for the Bears in the Grove very well... it was sort of home away from home for me then. And you are right 4lardan... those were the days!!!

  • I remember this song as well as Zing went the strings of my heart and Thats where the happy people go....All played @ Hoey for the Bears in Coconut grove,fl in the late 70's... Those were the days!

  • Hanging out at the Parkwood Pizzeria Mt Prospect Ave in Newark NJ... Kelly singing behind the counter in his white apron spinning pies .....lol......loved it.

  • who can forget this song at wild child jersey city new jersey.

  • did terry hunter use this sample on wonderful

  • great song to bump to, just saying

  • One of the greatest underrated songs ever!!!!!!! The Trammps were amazing!!!!

  • I remember hearing this in 1973 @ Jungle Habitat on LI,NY with my best friend. What GREAT times. RIP Nick.

  • the trammps, had several underground disco hits looooooong b4 the very pop appealing, "disco inferno." i am thrilled for their successes with inferno, but they made so many club anthems, that inferno just doesn't touch: where the happy people go, stop & think, love epidemic . body contact contract, soul searchin time, the nite the lites went out, & the total dance floor slayer, "disco party." come on wit it... these songs crush...

  • listen up .

compair this vocal arangement , singing style and audio engeneering to the

    bee gees.

now you tell me who had the true magic..

  • Alot of the "disco" groups were already long established soul and funk bands who gained whole new audiences when these groups switched over to disco by simply tweaking the beat and lyrics.

This was one of if not the last song played at Paradise Garage NYC in 87 when they closed the doors after a weekend marathon celebrating it's place as the pre-eminent club in history and template for today's clubs. The end of an era in which NYC/Philly/NJ were the incubator for today's dance musics.

  • @hardcorehouse Yes indeed this was the last song played at The Garage. A very bittersweet night forever burned in my memory.

  • I never knew they had a hit before "Disco Inferno", until I saw a classic ep of Soul Train. BTW, does anybody have that performance?
