These two things have no time limits, and you can join when you would like, or not.
Once you are initiated, you are a Mason, no matter what. Seek more light as much and as often as you can, it awaits you.
You are by no means obligated to join any of the other appendant bodies, always know this. You are no less a Mason if you don't.
