People need to stop talking about that the Chicago should've go for 8 peat. So what if MJ decided to play baseball in 94 and 95. The Rockets won back to back after the Bulls 1st 3 peat, big deal and after that Chicago won another 3 peat with a fashion. Bulls fan should be satisfied with that. GET OVER IT BULLS FANS!!!!
@FuShengAlex What no response?Thought I was a stupid fan who would throw Dream under the bus for MJ...no son I wouldnt do that I wouldnt throw any player under the bus unless they deserved it Dream has respect throughout the world as being one of the best at his position and for me hes one of the best ever. You must have mistaken me for mikenot lol!
Oh I respond.......I just find it funny the "Jockers" always claim my favourite player got lucky because MJ left. As this game shows.....thank goodness he had Rodman from 96-98.
Well im not one of those jockers the Rockets played in the West so it didnt matter who came out of the East that team was destined for a couple titles so please try that bullshit with a stupid fan not Ramz...lol!!Yes MJ thank god for Rodman...Hakeem thank god for Drexler they all needed help.
Well looks nice on paper.....Hakeem could no longer stand up to Shaq in that series, that was the difference maker. And Barkley and Pippen behind the scenes were feuding and hated one anothers' guts. Was real sad to see Shaq pummeling my favourite player.....I'm not sure MJ would've solved that.
@FuShengAlex You are wrong because Rodman was not the reason the Buls won the last three...if that was the case, why did the Bulls won the first three without Rodman??? Rodman help...but he wasn't the reason...the reason was MJ and that why he is the greatest!
Domini478....Yeah Jordan (who was supposedly out of shape in '95 when he lost btw) came back in '96 and had the worst Finals MVP performance of anyone in '96. Who do you think chased down the majority of his 41% shooting?
@FuShengAlex. MJ probably had his best season overall in 1995-96. In summer 1995 he trained his best and hardest ever and taking two seasons off of basketball prior probably freshened him up. And hey yes Gary Payton was an awesome Defensive Player so no shame in not shooting well vs him.
JZ2001JC......Yeah right. 95-96 was not MJ`s ``best season``. As with anyone in their 30s he was in a state of physical decline. He could no longer attack the basket at will like his earlier days. He had to pace himself and shoot more jumpers than he usually did. And he couldn`t guard smaller quicker guards - primary ballhandlers anymore without it affecting his offence. Only Barry, Olajuwon and Nash in NBA history have played their best basketball past the age of 30.
@FuShengAlex. I watched every Bulls game in 95-96 and MJ was at his peak. For one he took two seasons off from the grind of NBA hoops before that and still kept in shape with baseball training and that mild comeback at end of 94/95 season. One reason why MJ did not have to dominate like he did in early 90s was because the 2nd 3-peat Bulls had more playmakers than the 1st 3-pt Bulls, which took a lot of pressure off of MJ, and by the way MJ still played every game in 2nd 3pt....
@FuShengAlex. If MJ was in physical decline then how come he never missed a single game from 95-96 to 97-98? Usually those guys in physical decline break down and get hurt easier. MJ could still attack the basket at any point and if anything he was at his best in the low post in 2nd 3-pt as he was bigger (muscle-wise) and stronger in 2nd 3-pt.
JZ2001JC....I agree that he did not miss a game which was good for that age. But Jabbar and Karl Maloyne were older than MJ and not missing games and nobody was saying they were still in their primes, although they were playing at a higher than normal level for somebody at that age. And they didn`t take 1 and a half years off to do this.
Jordan in his prime could guard anybody at the 1, 2, 3 spots (except for Bird, lol). 96-98 they had to put him on the weakest scoring threat often.
@FuShengAlex STFU! with your dumbass! MJ avg 30 points in his whole career! He could guard anybody and he shut down everybody including Bird! MJ didn't have to guard the best scoring threat because he was the main scorer on the team and he needed rest so they let Pippen guard the best scoring threat dumbass! MJ had retired because he was sad that his Dad died dumbass nigga!
@FuShengAlex MJ avg 30 points in the 95-96 season dumbass! He was MJ and always was until the Wizard days! He didn't attack the basket because he didn't have to do that to score anymore! He could guard anyone because he is the greatest! MJ has the highest scoring avg in NBA History dumbass! He had 29 points a game in his 30s dumbass! Check your history dumbass!
