Thanks for that. I am fully blind, so I am wondering, is it possable to use the text to speech as a sort of screan reader with the kindle? Or is it just for reading books aloud? I mean, does it tell you what books are in your library? Do you know if the kindle app you can get for the iphone touch4 works with voiceover?

@emijane1231 iPod Touch has better voice features for the blind. Including voice over for the whole interface and even a kindle app so you can read books too. Yet, Kindle cannot read it`s interface (screen).

With those things in experimental still I'm sure Amazon is seeing what people are saying and wanting for them such as a view and skip back for mp3. I'm sure they will eventually put out an update to the devices adding some features before they remove it from experimental.

I dont have kindle but I have read that you can put the mp3s into the Audible folder, so you will have the fast forward, pause, rewind, etc. options.

@suehedges You can enable menu read out on the newest Kindle 3, but it's a different process through the menu system. Also, even though you enable menu read out, you still have to use this same key command to start read out of each ebook each time you go to read them.

Thanks for your text-to-speach demo! Is sounds pretty much like the Kindle 2. I would like to use text-to-speack with a college text book. Its nice that you can choose the line where to start the text-to-speech.
