some of the fools on here are career haters commenting/spamming on every vidoe clip they can, youtube would be doing us a great service by disableing their accounts.
Your talking shit. The last tome checked they where Australian workings down in vic at the ford plant and that money stays here. So unless you have anything positive to say don't.
@XRRB6T Just to point out, Holden is 100% owned by US motoring giant General Motors. They aren't aussie either... but at least Fords engines are, unlike the Holden ones...
@AustralianBornNbred Actually, the Ford I6 began as an american unit, but it has been redesigned so many times, here in Australia that the only thing it shares with its US parents are the bore spacings. It has become a truly local engine, designed and developed down in Geelong, Victoria by Australians. As for the V8, the Boss was actually an aussie designed engine using a Canadian block, US heads, but Australian internals and ancillaries.
@janeisababe nothing americas design and parts bin couldn't create.your still ignorant, but extremely gullible going on that failed analogy.but good obedient sheep aren't you.
@falconsRgaybombs BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! You are such an idiot. First you think that the Ecotec was a chevy motor, when it was just a tweaked 3800 which was buick (come on, everyone knows that) and then try and say that the I6 is an American engine? BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! I'm sorry, but people with the user-name "falconsRgaybombs" clearly a) Don't know anything about cars and b) are too ignorant to comment and call others ignorant. Do a bit of research before you comment.
@janeisababe your opening line, BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! You are such an idiot, suits you perfect.chevy gm again your not doing so well with your argument ignorant little sheep. your closing line,Do a bit of research before you comment, again fits perfect for you ignorance.
@falconsRgaybombs I'm the idiot? Your post isn't even written in legible english! Btw, Chevy and Buick are owned by the same company, but they are not the same company. Thats like saying that Ford and Volvo are the same thing, or that Nissan and Renault are. All that pointless arguing aside, the I6 is the only Australian engine in production. Born and bred in Geelong. I'm sorry, but the true sheep is the one who blindly goes in all "Holden Holden Holden" and uses the username "falconsRgaybombs"
@janeisababe yes you are the idiot, would you like to discuss linguistics?.everything is run through gm,ford and Volvo different story.wrong, the global engine holden produces is built by holden, same as ford designed the engine ford ossie use and build.its never been built and designed ground up by them and never will be.i can smell your ham disgust again.if its after night fall you can eat and drink water now.
@falconsRgaybombs WOW! I can read what you are saying! First, the GLOBAL engine Holden builds is NOT DESIGNED BY HOLDEN. Holden as a company had 0% input to that engine. As for the Ford engine, yes: 50 years ago it was a US engine. Now, the only similarity it shares with the US original is the bore spacings. The internals, the heads, the ancillaries, EVERYTHING else is Australian developed and 90% is Australian made. The only ham disgust here is from you. Can't accept the truth, lie to yourself.
@janeisababe 3 were part of the design group, but still its gm.0% credit for that assumption my boy.lucky to be 50% australian made with the internal parts designed and imported from overseas.see what happen when you remove the patch adams.i know facts which become the truth, you on the other hand know what your told and not what you have seen or worked with, thats the difference between us right there.ask the question for you have been lied to for more then half a century.
@falconsRgaybombs Actually, the Commodore is 60% Australian. The main difference between me and you is that yes, I do work with what I can see. I work with FACT. You appear to make stuff up, then tell me to ask Holden or Ford employee's which I do only to hear "what idiot told you that?". As for calling me "my boy"... well, I'm 25, and a mechanical engineer. You type like you are 15 and can't even drive... my boy.
@janeisababe you wouldnt know if it were higher or lower.doubt this,i have worked in this field for longer then your life son.and not just my home but yours and many lands, come across many like yourself.to scared of the truth and i dont know why you bother.25 boy i have grandkids half your age.i worked on teh original omega, then helped holden with their grand plan of 3 chassis into one car.not the first generation the second.even so the first commodore you received was built using 2 platforms.
@falconsRgaybombs Well, seeing as nothing else you said was correct, I'm going to assume you are a 15 year old trying to tell me that you worked in that field. As for me? I do work in that field. Still. I'm not saying where and in what company at the moment, but I know a fair lot about Ford, Dana and various other suppliers. Having contacts from Holden tells me a fair lot too. All signs point to "you are a bullshit artist"
@janeisababe still blindly ignorant nothing learned yet.being a fan of something with large blinkers does not indicate to me your someone who has seen a thing past pictures on some search site on the web.some good advice its my favourite to ignorant people such as you.you can bull you can shit, but dont bring the two of them together in your speech.
@falconsRgaybombs I'm only coming on here now to see what hilarious thing you say next, so I can tell all my Ford and Holden contacts and place it on the forums you told me to ask. This stuff is seriously gold!
@janeisababe what your saying is you have no answer to anything i have said because your base and knowledge plays behind your ego and ignorance, correct.
@janeisababe so let me understand this, your asking people who are as ignorant as you right.not ford employees just fellow sheep with ignorance blindness like yourself.all holden drivers?thats more of your blind ignorance.sure your not a gooner ?.my personal car is a 68 rekord wheres the commie i drive?.
@janeisababe Then they're not very Aussie after all, as you correctly said. And the company "Ford" IS one-hundred percent American. So all this only benefits America in the end, doesn't it?
@AustralianBornNbred Uh... no. It is an American OWNED company, but the car is developed and manufactured in Australia, with Australian made and often Australian owned suppliers. So not ALL the profits go to the US, a fair chunk goes towards paying the 10's of thousands of Australians who work there, and the pockets of the Australian suppliers. Holden on the other hand import more than 40% of the car. Less Australian.
@janeisababe see another part of your ignorance is to believe both dont send large sums abroad. that so called all australian engine, well that has block and heads imported form the same suppliers as holden.much less australian content in all of them then you would know.again you need to be on the inside to know the home truths.eat some ham live life open.
@falconsRgaybombs No, the only true ignorant one here is you. This is proven by the fact that NOTHING you have said has actually been factual. The block and heads used on the Australian I6 engine are not from any supplier, they are cast by Ford in the alloy and cast iron casting plants in Norlane Geelong. Holdens suppliers that allegedly also supply Ford blocks and heads is actually Holden itself, who manufacture the US engines here in their own plants in Port Melbourne. Learn, then talk.
@janeisababe still coughing up ignorance.you are so into the spin its not funny, you actually buy that?.they are made overseas not in ossie.they were made in australia but cheaper alternative was sourced outside like holden.ready for assembling is not made in ossie.if you find an honest ford or holden worker they will tell you what your to ignorant to believe.ask away.or why dont you step onto one of your followers forums and ask them, sure they might have someone without patches to tell you.ham
@falconsRgaybombs Oh my God you are getting stupider and stupider. If they are made in Australia then why was I in the casting plant in 2008? Why did I visit the assembly section straight afterwards. I actually did ask an Honest Holden employee... 2 of them. They laughed at you. I don't need to ask Ford people because of my history with Ford, but I did ask the forum like you suggested. They laughed at you too. Seriously? Where do you get this stuff from?
@janeisababe times change, pop down and ask them what country they now come from,do this and spare your ignorance another hammering.dont lie its beneath you even with such ignorance.at 25 your history is in park,in another 25 years come back to me with your history then we talk.
@falconsRgaybombs It is actually very hard to understand. For one main reason. I HAVE SEEN THEM CASTING BLOCKS HERE IN AUSTRALIA WITH MY OWN EYES. They cast them in Norlane Geelong, in a factory on a road called the Esplanade. They also cast the alloy head there. On North Shore road, Norlane Geelong, they assemble the engine. It is an Aussie engine. I also KNOW THE GUYS WHO DEVELOP IT. They are Australian too. Is it that hard to understand lad? Also, YOU SAID AMERICAN ENGINE.
@janeisababe Nobody's saying Ford is more Aussie than GM/Holden, or vise versa. I definitely am not. The only consolation is that the name "Holden" WAS originally Aussie. That's all. And most of the profits DO go to the USA. Otherwise they, (Ford and GM), wouldn't bother coming here in the first place. It wouldn't be worth their while, would it?
@AustralianBornNbred That is true, Holden WAS originally aussie. Key is though, they are now longer aussie. They, just like Ford, send money overseas. Difference is though, that if you buy a Falcon or a Commodore, you are still supporting Aussie workers. You are still supporting the Aussie made and sometimes owned suppliers. The other options are to either buy a full import (where nothing stays here) or walk. Buying a Falcodore is the lesser of all evils in your own argument.
@AustralianBornNbred Who has the money to do that? Australias richest man doesn't have the money to start a whole car company all by himself! Did you know that the VE cost $1 billion to develop? FG was $750 million. That is ONE CAR. Not a whole range, which you need to be competitive. Then there is tooling to manufacture the thing! That is the way it is. I'm a patriot, I love Australia. I will buy Australian owned if I can, but if I can't, Australian made and developed is the next best. Falcon.
@janeisababe Blimey! Those amounts to redesign an already-designed car?! Who's fooling who? I assume Ford and GM respectively funded those projects. I sure hope none of it was Australian taxpayers' money! (And the Falcon platform was actually American in the first place, by the way...)
One car design for THAT cost? You must be kidding...
@AustralianBornNbred You've never worked in the motoring industry have you? 1 billion dollars is NOTHING to design a car. the $1 Billion VE actually also had a brand new, ground up chassis (funded by GM global, designed by Australians, so there is money coming TO Australia) and the Ford was an evolution of the old car, but a complete rebody, chassis changes, and drive upgrades. For the record, Falcons platform is actually Australian. Released in 1971 on the XA. The yank platform was only XK-XY.
@janeisababe Oh God...you're still going! Even if they're built here...they're still Fords and GMs. So they're still American, like it or not. You wouldn't call the Toyota Camry Australian, just because it's made here, would you?
I don't give a f--k if you wanna believe bullshit like that...I have the guts to accept the truth, no matter how bitter it may be. Keep on dreaming, mate!
@AustralianBornNbred WTF are you on? Truth? I told you the truth. The truth of the matter is: In 1971 Ford released a car that they developed here in Australia. You can carry on with your "people shouldn't buy cars because they aren't Australian owned, and we should start a car company by ourselves, because it won't cost that much" horse-shit all you like. You are just flat WRONG. Do a bit of research, the truth will come out VERY quickly.
@falconsRgaybombs Cars haven't served me wrong yet. If I were you I'd stick to being a bullshit artist who doesn't research anything before they type anything. It is a well known fact that when Ford NA decided to can the falcon in the late 60's, Ford Aus decided to do their own. They carried over the drivetrain, but the chassis (oh, sorry for layman I'll use "floor") and body was redone. Since then, the drivetrain has changed so much, it is fully australian (only link is bore spacings on the 6)
@AustralianBornNbred Im sick of your shit cunt! Every page same shit dribbling outta ya mouth! With AustralianBornNbred you un patriotic piece of shit- so lets meet up time i caved your head in!
@AustralianBornNbred Do you ever shut up? I see your same comments on video thats is on you tube of Fords and Holdens. Dont you get the point that 101 people on every video think your a fucking clown? Your a discrace to your own user name now shut up cunt!!
@AustralianBornNbred and i suppose holden are autralian?!... try american and most of their line up is of korean shitboxes. hows that good for the aussie economy? at least ford are still making inline sixes in australia!
@AustralianBornNbred Holden isn't Australian either. They are 100% owned by US motoring giant General Motors. There is no such thing as an aussie owned car any more. Might as well by the next best thing and that is locally made cars, and with imported engines in the Holden V8 with Aussie made US designed engines in the V6, Ford trumps Holden again: Aussie made and designed 6's and aussie designed, canadian cast blocks, aussie internals and aussie assembled V8's. Falcon is the most Aussie car.
