  • which graphics card did you installed in your pc nerdishtech. plz tell me .

  • anybody attempting this needs to be careful... try not to do this on carpet, or if you do, make sure you are grounded so there is no static electricity in you. also make sure all of the energy is completely gone from the capacitors in your computer, (just hold the power button for around 5 seconds) i'm kind of upset that he didn't mention any of this. there are a couple more things i should mention... but just google this stuff and you'll learn a bit more.

  • i have a flat pc

  • to upgrade from a ATI Raedon HD 4200 to a 5570 gimmie all the steps please?

  • @P0in7B1ank easy, do you have a laptop or desktop. Does your motherboard have a pciex16 slot. If so buy the 5570 card and install, and before you go the window menu, you go to the bios when the computer starts, and uninstalled the 4200 chip software. Then once uninstalled put the video driver cd in and install like any other program you do. Then you're done. PS go the manufacturer website for ati and dl the latest driver. That installing a card and uninstalling a chip.

  • @Jmerino7 never use the cd that comes with the card, always go tot the website, or install year old drivers.

  • Y have a pc that old?

  • I took out all the screws to my card but it won't come out i'm not su8re what to do

  • @rapturjesuss maybe you have to pull or nudge it a bit

  • getting a Sapphire 5830 2gb Xtreme cant wait :)

  • I have a GT240 Its been six months since I bought It, now I want to clean it.

If I remove the GPU, clean It, and then put It again, will Windows 7 recognize the card again?. Im asking cause I did this once on a P4 when I was a noob, now I know all about my old desktop, but once again Im a noob at Windows 7.

  • @trocoman Yeah your motherboard bios will recognize it and send the info to windows 7 with no problem. I take apart my computer a lot and even remove my motherboard from my case to get easier access at removing the heatsink. You can always remove video cards, sound cards, and ram with no problem and when you put it back together and boot up the system there will be no problem at your computer recognizing the hardware as long as it is seated in the slots properly and nothing is fried.

  • reply pls

  • i hav agp and three pci nvidia 9500 gt fit in pci express slot

  • dear nvidia 9500 fit in pci express

  • Don't you have to disable your old graphics card first then install the new? I need an answer fast please!

  • @steevn606 sorry if im too late, yes, you are supposed to uninstall your current gpu drivers before shutting down your computer to install your new gpu.

  • *he i have the same computer i put in a madddddddd good graphics card through pci

  • can someone please tell me what im doing wrong!. Ive made sure the card is secure and in properly, ive installed the new drivers and dissabled the onboard graphics. Yet still my screen still says 'no signal' when I turn on the comp with the card in. Take the card out and the monitor works fine again? wtf. please can someone help me, ive been trying to install this for days. Its driving me insane!!

  • hi i am i using an ati grapichs card x1600 radiaon actully and i want to remove it but its stuck in there it just is seriously jamed in there and we cant figure out how to get it out do u have any advice at all.

  • Hey I have an old computer that got from my uncle, what happens when we put a new graphics card in a old computer?

  • @Mariotravel209 Well first I would recommend checking whether your computer has pci or pci-e slots. Then you can buy a card and install it.

  • @mcfatass301 oh ok,thanks :)

  • @Mariotravel209 check you wont bottleneck also

  • lol, isn't that a "DELL B110"?! inside your computer looks reverently similar to mine. :3

  • It would be cool if I could just remove it like u did, but there is a lot of wires and shit. what should I do them?

  • u steal mine pc dell lol

  • I have only AGP and PCI inputs; could i still instal a pci-e card? If so how could I do so? 10x for your help

  • @Dark7Lamborghini

No, you need a pci-e slot to install a pci-e card. It won't work in agp and pci slots.

  • thankyou so much!!! my graphis card died and i knew that my comp had a built in one, thanx 2 u when i took it out the graphics worked again ^^ ty ty an ty!

  • If video card is PCI e 2.0 is that still works to motherboard that have PCI 16x?

  • I thought brits only did mac videos?

  • A pci dosnt fit in a pcie a pcie does not fit in a pci

  • hey where can you see wich motherboard or version you got i mean by that wich PCI,AGP, PCI-E ???

  • I have the same computer as you...

But you probably upgraded yours ;/

  • Hello Is This A Dell Optiplex 170L And What Graphics Cards Was Used In The Video?

  • Why are you showing this? Anyone who still has a PCI card deserves to be shot.

  • WTH!?!?!?

U USE A AGP CARD ON A PCI SLOT!?!?!?!

  • You forgot to ground yourself.

  • When i opened my pc there were no video card!! i have orange agp slot and 3 pci slots!! dac type is inernal. Is that means that i cant have a video card?!

  • @Viperr4

It means you have an integrated GPU.

  • @SleeepySheeep so i cant change my graphic card? btw i have 512 ram but my pc shows only 480 so 512-480= 32 so its my vram O.o??

  • @Viperr4

You can install a new graphics card, all you'd have to do is check what type of port you have. PCI, AGP, AGP Pro or PCI-E. (If it's a newer PC it should have PCI-E) be sure to check. I'd say look at your computer's model number (unless you built it yourself, then you'd just check your motherboard specs) and from your model number, usually you can find out what motherboard you have. From there, search up your motherboard and check the expansion ports and see what you've got. :D

  • a Dell dimension i see.

  • nice vid, but i got some real troubles wit my graphics card, i get it install it and drivers and now it wont work WTF!?

  • the inside of your pc looks exactly like mine must be a dell?

  • nc one

  • Thanks.

  • Are there different sized slots for PCI/AGP cards? How can you check?

  • does a pci express card fit into a pci 16x?

  • There were 2 slots that means u can install 2 pci graphic cards?

  • i got probz i install it. but the Vcrd has no built in fan and the cpu got hot in just 15mins that's why i remove it. any solutions?

  • dsdsdsd

  • mine has an AMR port at the top and pci below is it a server pc can i put a pci video card in still?

  • what the difference between PCI and PCI-E?

  • haha passive cooling LOL :D

  • if you have 3 pci 1.1 and put 3 graphics card 256mb in, would it be faster than one or slow.

the mobo is a, ga-8siml nf old i know but its never gone wrong

  • My video is an integrated chip, can I disable it, install PCI, and enable it to "upgrade" my game graphics?

  • Hey guys I just got this new 8400 gs pci graphics card but I don't really know how to install it

  • I have a integrated card right now

and im planning on buying a GeForce 8400GS

but do i just install the card?

or do i remove the integrated card.... i dont know how though

  • @HIIMDAVID12345555 dude the integrated can not be removed it stays on the motherboard, the intergrated card is where ure monitor is plugged in at the moment, which should be behind the motherboard the blue thing, instaling a card is simple turn off ure computer and when u open ure case touch ure power suply to ground ureself and install it!

  • OMG!! dude whats up with the inside of your desktop lol! looks messy... you should clean it up lol!

Oh if you do clean it up and do a mistake dont blame me just cause I said clean it up.

  • Hey I have a Dimensions 2400, and I have two questions, what is the best graphics cards, and can I run more than one? Thanks

  • 0_0 you cant run 2 graphic cards LMAO

  • @KONGONTOWER i got same model computer as u, best is the pny pci 8400 gs

  • can i run triple SLi/crossifre for pci slots? since i got 3 pci slot, and 2 pci-E slot

  • i got the same computer and i need a graphic card thats at least 512mb would you recomend any and is that a PCI or something else.

  • me also dell dimension 2400 best cheap comp i bought

  • lol thats an dell dimension 2400 i got the same one

  • @youandme1103 uninstall the old graphics software, remove old graphics card (i doubt its built in) - then put the new one in, boot your pc back up with the instalation disk is the drive, then run through the wizard n yr good to go

  • do we need to uninstall the drivers first??

  • if i have ddr memory ram will a graphic card with ddr2 work? just wondering

  • any graphics card will work with any computer as long as it has the minimum system requirements (e.g. power supply, RAM, processor, slots; PCI, PCI-E or AGP)

  • If you have just DDR ram, not even DDR2, your PC might be kinda out of date.

Graphics cards should work though if you meet the basic requirements the card lists.

There's lots of low power cards and there's still AGP cards and such.

  • yes, ram and vram aren't dependent upon each other.

  • @peanutbutterdawg yes, I have ddr2 ram, and a ddr5 graphics card.

  • When you buy a graphics card, does it tell u if it's a PCI, PCI-E or AGP graphics card?

  • It should tell you somewhere on the box - its necessary information when buying one, otherwise it wouldn't fit in your computer.

  • It'll probably say it on the front as clear as day.

  • pci slot is white and pci-e slot is blue in my motherboard.

  • hey is the white slot a pci or pci-e slot?

  • pci

  • you can touch the board of the graphics card?

  • thank a lot good as it is the same computer as mine

  • is that a dell dimension 3000?

  • i have the same computer too!

  • could you install the new driver software before installing the new graphics card?

  • Yes I believe you can.

  • i have the same pc as that, its shit lol

what graphics card you using cos i need a new one and is it PCI (the one in the vid)?

  • im pretty sure that is the Nvidia 6200 256mb DDR2 graphics card, becuase i have the same one.

  • I have the strangest problem, my graphics card will not come out like yours did. Screw taken out and all, it just won't come out. It's an ATI Radeon X800 (old I know, but I'm removing it to upgrade it). If anyone knows why it's not just coming out I would be grateful.

  • it's not coming out because some chimp designed a little L shaped release latch that needs a miracle to open it.

  • 11k views, and 25 high ratings, shows that people want to see this video.... hop along little boy....

  • 11k views, and 25 high ratings shows people want to see this video... hop along little boy....

  • videos like this have to be made because there are bigger retards who design a teensy-weensy L latch that has to be manuiplated in some way to release the video card...

  • your right, i saw another video that showed a latch that you had to pull before the card would come out

  • PCI-E do they fit in a PCI

  • Afraid not, just PCI cards fit in PCI slots....

  • ok buddy i have a problem i thing pci slots are white i have a pci slot but on pci video cards the ends that clips into the slot are 1 wide one and 2 on the side but isnt the pci slot have 1 middle thing and another one so do they fit because im very confused can you help me

  • @timtim32NL no

  • one question would i be able to play oblivion on a dell inspirion530s with a bfg nivida geforce 8400gs 512mb ddr2 pci expressgraphics card and my comp is a vista and the graphics card is the only thing im going to install or is their more or less my comp has apci slot for the card so yeah

  • I have a card at the very top also.. but I do not know if its a Graphics card. Because it has port for a phone line.. I have a Dell Dimension 2350 Can someone help me identify my graphics card.

  • Right click on desktop and go to "properties" then go to the Tab "settings" then under the picture of the screen it should say "Display" and then say you screeen name (In my Case)

it says DELL E153FPT on Intel(R) 82865G Graphics controller

so the DELL E153FPT is my screen and the Intel(R) 82865G Graphics controller

(but i have a shit graphics card)

  • So it could be a built in Graphics card?

  • No,

  • I dont know how to describe it but I know what your talking about...

  • i have exactly the sme computer i think dell dimension 2400

  • How do i know if i have a PCI a PCI-E or a AGP? Im about to buy a new graphics card and i dont know what i have?

  • just look up your motherboard on the internet and in the description it should tell you if it's PCI or PCI-E, I don't even think AGP is around anymore, lol possibly, but I haven't seen it in a while... if you have a new motherboard, chances are it's PCI-E, it's the most common configuration for motherboards.

    hope that helps :-)

  • if i had a dell 2350 can i put ati hd 4670 on there

  • My motherboard has a PCI only.

But i wanted to buy a good graphics card with a budget of $150 but nearly all of them are PCI. Anyway, My games i play is FSX. Can you recommend me any card?

  • 9400 GT :)

  • Is it good?

  • Yeah you should be able to play Crysis on high settings or play GTA on High to its expensive for a outdated graphics card but if u only have PCI you should really get the 9400 GT 1gb version :)

  • Okay thanks!

  • do you have a agp slot? if u do then get the 3850 is way faster than the 9400gt, the 9400gt is a replacement of 8500gt

  • im not sure. my motherboard is a Intel D945GCPE .

i guess theres no agp slot.

  • just get the 3850 or above graphics if u want a good card to run games on high, 9400gt sucks

  • he needs a PCI graphics card 3850 is PCI-E

  • 9400gt for PCI slot???? are u kidding right?? its only PCI EXPRESS! not old PCI

  • how do u check if u need ati or nvidia????

  • You can use any you want, ATI or Nvidia, as long as you have the right connection on your motherboard (PCI, AGP or PCI-E)!

  • i have the connection u have just pci but why are there 3 conecty things on the card but 2 holes on the slot

  • im changing my ati radeon xpress 1100 graph card to a galaxy geforce9600 graph card, do i just open up my pc and change it or i have to do something else?

  • If the connection id the same yes, unless the new card had an extra power cable (if it has a built in fan) then you will have to connect that too!

Oh, and run the driver cd ;) lol

  • how would i know the id is the same?

and yes it has a built in fan. and it also came with like two plugs? or i think 3.

  • my motherboard has a Single PCI-E MB on it will any card work with my computer?

  • Thanks bro!

  • Excellent very helpful. Thank you

  • PCI and PCI Extreme is not the same but if you do have an video card same like PCI express is shod work on PCI simple

  • lol at ur hdd

  • dude, i broke my eject lever on an accident is there anyway to get the video card out if i want to upgrade?

  • sry this is prolly a stupid question...is PCI and PCI-e same?

  • No, they are similar pci X8 an pci-e is X16 (you can notice the size difference obv)

Of course pci-e is better, all modern motherboards are pci-e hence all new pci hardware is pci-e is graphics/sound cards etc.

  • nope diffrent slot

  • was that new one agp?? and if it was wats it called

  • No sorry, PCI

  • wat was that pci called then? it lokks real good

  • Mines made differnt I dont have that screw you take out and just pop it out. Mines got its own powersource and stuff. So this is not PCI Express like he said mostly PCI.

  • so for instance, i have 3 pci slots, i can put in a network card a sound card and a graphics card as long as they are all pci?

  • Yeah, mines the same, i have 3 PCi slots and have a TV Card, Network Card and Graphics card, all work great!

  • alright, thanks!

  • im getting geforce 9400 is that pci??

  • i believe that's AGP

  • No, its PCI.

  • hey so pci is the white things right?? because i only have 3 white things

  • is agp the white things?

  • AGP is brown, PCI are white!

But there are different PCI slots, there is standard PCI and PCI-E.

  • my pci slots are all identical and like 4 inches wide

  • man i need help. i just bought an ATI RADEON 9200 PCI 128MB...

i know how to put it in the cpu so i did that... but my monitor wouldn't show shit.... sounds and all are good but the monitor didn't show anything.... i switched back to the old card which is a built in already and installed the stuffs in the CD it came with the card.... but my monitor still wouldn't show anything!!!! PLEASE HELP!!!

  • hey thanks for nothing!

  • I am using the BFG 6200, would be interesting to see how the 512MB 6200 works. Newegg was selling the card, but i don't see anymore. Oh well, the BFG 6200 is getting the job done with 256MB.

  • You suppose to lay the tower down when doing that, make it easy.btw is that second card the xfx 6200 512 pci?

  • Hi, I know but this was easier for me to do it like to to record. and yes its the 6200 :)

    thanks

  • hello i have a nvida 8500 gt ni a black port not cpi .. i have a natur graphic car som a an asus v9999 td 256mb gddr3 .. do you fink i can us that in cpi port. ?

  • i saw a 8500 gt just came out um so the just that in the white connector

  • Hey um.. what if my case does not have that screw holes (this ones on the end of video) my current gpu is just inserted PCI-E slot.. i bought new GPU (radeon hd3650)

its coming to me in few days so, there will be problems with installing new gpu?

  • Is it any different if your card is integrated? Oh and thanks for info 5/5.

  • Intergrated to your MotherBoard? if thats the case, just insert a new card into a PCI/E/AGP slot and change your BIOS to use the new card.

  • Alright sweet thanks I just got a new 9800GTX and a new power supply.

  • arghh man i see you also have a crippled board. and by crippled i mean no agp or pcie slots

  • hi i have a intel 845 intergrated graphic card at the moment if i put a ATI Radeon X600 256mb pci-e would it work?

  • You need to check if you have a PCI-E slot, either open it up and google PCI Express Slot to see what the look like, or tell me what type motherboard you have and i'll tell you.

    thanks

  • hi i have a 0G1548 motherboard if that helps

  • That motherboard only has PCI slots, the best card i could find for PCI only is a GeForce 6200 512MB DDR2.

  • I have an asus a8v-mx with integrated graphics card, if you could tell me what type of graphics card I need it would be much appreciated? Thanks.

  • Hello, I have an asus a8v-mx motherboard, could you tell me what type of graphics card I can put in it? Thank you.

  • Hi, you have a 'PCI', 'AGP 8x' and 'PCIe x1' slots, so any graphics cards with those connections.

If your PCIe slot is free i reccomend that, otherwise AGP.

  • Thank you.

  • where can i buy GeForce 6200 512MB DDR2 in canada? and whats the price range?

  • I bought mine (I live in the US) from Ebay, but I think there sold out.The price was about 60 bucks.

  • Hi I ended up buying a geforce 8400gs 256mb pciex1 but when I put it in and tun my computer on I get a blank screen, no bios page, nothing. Is this a compatibility issue?

  • Hi nice video, just a quick question.

I have an NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT and i'm just wondering how I know what graphics card will be supported by my machine, as I want to upgrade this card to a better one, could you please suggest some upgrades please for this card.

  • Hi, thanks, the 8600GT is a PCI-Express card, so basically all you need is a card with the same connections for example the 9600GT 1GB.

So when looking for a new one, PCI-E/PCI-Express/PCIE are the keywords your looking for.

  • Ahhh i see.

So would i be able to put in a NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GTX-based graphics card for PCI express 2.0?

Or would it have to be just a 9800 GT?

  • That card should be ok, as far as im aware thats a PCI-E card.
