@ouchy07 header made the exhaust significantly louder but it was the one single thing that i put on the car where you could legitamately feel the power increase. if you hadn't bought one hit me up on Honda-tech or 8thcivic under JustinG60. had to sell the Si in a divorce process and i still have the header i'd sell
Track times? and wow you had a Terimnator. I love Cobras! The fuel economy is just bad though. But with just a few bolt ons its an instant 11 second car.
@inv1sion unfortunatly my track time was 14.7 but that was due to awful traction, Capital Raceway is not the best track i've been to for oil clean up. i spun all the way through first and had to ride out baking the tires in second till they would grab. car would have easily been mid 13's with worth while tires. very fun to drive. my Terminator was an 03 in Redfire metallic. 11.88 1/4 with pulleys, SLP LM1 exhaust, JLT intake, tune and tires at Numedia Raceway
@ROPcivicSi nice, so did you keep the Cobra? I pretty much run the same setup as you on my 08 Si, except my Vibrant header has a HFC and I'm on a Mugen Si catback. I doubt I could hit mid 13s though.
@moswissa88 flashpro is a phenominal piece. once you get the hang of using it you can easily street tune, which is what i was doing in this video, before you take it to the dyno to save some dyno time. money well spent, be weary of buying used unless you buy in person cause it seems alot of people don't know how to unmarry it from the ECU. if failed to do so Hondata charges $300 to restore it.
nice vid!!! inspires me to go out and make one too, but with quicker shifting, and hitting the governor at the end of 5th instead of shifting into sixth!
@actl32 i can shift much faster but from doing so i am already wearing out 3rd gear syncro. faster does not always mean better if the car can't keep up with your ability. which is why i'll probably be parting the car, having the trans fixed and selling so i can get another terminator
internally the engine is all stock... i prefer the design of the S2 header over the Vibrant, but since this car is my daily driver i would never put a header on my car with out a flex section... my top speed? no idea, no where to really try it out...
after 10,000 miles, decided the S2 exhaust with a catless header is just too loud for me... can't beat the tone, havent heard anything better yet but i can't even merge onto highways with out looking like an idiot from the noise haha
like any intake SRI or CAI i notice a difference on 100+ degree days but i can't distinctly say when it's "heat" soaked like you can with an undersized intercooler on a turbo car... but i think the header helps with that, it seems to dispurse heat really well. it's cooled down to touch way faster than anything surrounding the engine...
no dyno numbers yet, been too busy spending money on my VR6 Turbo Corrado powered by a GT4088R...
@ROPcivicSi im using flashpro also with injen cai and tanabe catback....was thinking of skunk 2 megapower header any thoughts? hit 143 with upgrades so far...whats your top speed?
where do you buy the skunk exhaust and how do you install it? do u go to a dealer ship and buy it and let them install it for you?
