  • Yes, nothing in this world can beat TALENT!

  • Beautiful voices are an asset but intelligent singing and feeling is what singing is all about. De Luca and Galli- Curci had that in abundance, hence their tremendous popularity over the years.

  • bello

  • Dico solo :"SUBLIME"! - Innanzi a tanta bravura artistica si resta spesso senza parole!

  • the besssttttt. period. lovely lovely lovely. these two bring tears to my eyes

  • Amelitta Galli Curci, one of the top-three-stars Tetrazinni, Toti Dal Monte, Amelitta Galli Curci of opera sopranos. Sutche voices will never come, very sad !

  • Effing gorgeous. Why can't the world just turn backwards sometimes ?;)

  • This is the first time that I have heard her on an electrically recorded record-mil gracias!

  • ((((((((((( THANK YOU ! )))))))))))

  • Superb singing and presentation. Brava,Bravo! TY.Nate

  • Neither Galli-Curci nor de Luca had the richest voice or the most powerful one or a voice with the greatest range or most dynamic variation. What they had in abundance was elegance, facility and simplicity in phrasing--which eludes so many singers--tonal beauty, and style. Along with Schipa, they were wonderful representatives of bel canto singing.

  • Although critics have highly praised the earlier 1918 acoustic version, I agree with you, eblackadder3, in preferring this later electrical recording. The melting, celestial quality of Galli-Curci's voice is more salient here as is the round, warm tone of De Luca's. I doubt any other singers performed this duet as well.
