This is so sad. Lisa was always alive for Harry. She discovered she was dead. Then the tragic scene happens. After being rejected by the only person giving her life, she loses her will to live and begins transforming, looking for any last chance of comfort from Harry with arms outstretched. He runs away from her, and she breaks down crying.

I don't know if I remember this correctly, but as I recall Lisa died, but that happened before the game began. She already is a demon when you meet her for the first time. With Alessa becoming aware of her 'nice side' she kills Lisa off to set her soul free (Lisa was the only person nice to Alessa when she was burned and Lisa was the one who brought baby Cheryl out of Silent Hill).

People always talk about Final Fantasy 7 and 'that bit with Aeris' as being the most heartbreaking and emotional moment and gaming but for me it always was and has been Lisa's transformation in SH1.

Even now the animation and emotion shown on the character face is better than some 360 and PS3 games.

She begins to bleed because her "facade" drops. Her purpose is finally clear: to haunt Alessa's nightmare, just as the other demon nurses & doctors. She is no different from them... only, she didn't know, because Alessa gave her a conciousness. At that moment, Lisa already figured out (quote) "why is she still around even though everyone else is dead". Therefore, she turns into one of them. Her disguise drops... thus, she begins bleeding. It's a metaphor. Hope this helped. =)
