Pernell Whitaker , Willie PeP were also great. unfortunately i Loche cant be considered amongst the all time greats. perhaps amongs the best defensive fighter...yes i would say so. An unfit, feather-fisted, chain smoking dude with no natural athleticism, he nonetheless is the hardest to hit fighter in the history of boxing. Dude could do totally nutso things like stand with his hands behind his back and dodge incoming punches, and once fought four rounds while holding a conversation with a member of the audience. If he spoke more English, and was willing to leave Argentina, he'd be a legend today.

You would never have thought that a guy that is unbelievably un-athletic would be the hardest guy to hit. His defense is slightly greater than other great defense wizards such as Whitaker, Pep, and Mayweather, and that just shows that you don't have to be physically talented to be a master boxer.

@laguerre5That is totally a lie, Nicolino Locche when he retired, Leonard was just beginning his career and had not yet won and the Olympics, their 4 losses only 2 were authentic, the other 2 were a scam, one of his fights they did fight a mountain where there were very high, during the fight had Gags and vomiting on 2 occasions, and another fight was stolen by points, also had a fist crushing the opinion of many of those around them...

@laguerreif he had used his fists as he could do what they had seen from at least the 5 largest in history, has almost the same record that JC Chavez but with 2 losses less, confronted the best of his time and even with weights heavier than him, the fights he lost were in the last of his brilliant career by being old, the only thing I did not like it but admiration caused me was that for all his fights went only 2 times a week and also smoked, thing esoty not proud, his daughter is my friend.

"El Intocable" ("The Untouchable") was one of the greatest defensive boxers of all time. The top 3 defensive fighters of all time are Willie Pep, Nicolino Locche, and Pernell Whitaker. I have Whitaker 3rd, but I still can't decide who was better between Locche and Pep. Pep was definitely the greater boxer, but Locche was possibly, albeit slightly, better defensively.

@corytclark Pernell gets second because he fought a better calibre fighter than pep. several all time greats could not hit sweet pea: A Nelson, J C Chavez, Delahoya to name a few. jajajaja era increible, no solo esquivaba los golpes, sino que les ponia directamente la cara para desafiarlos a intentar pegarle... unico sin duda... hizo del boxeo donde la finalidad es pegarle al oponente exactamente lo contrario, lo inesperado, un distinto sin ninguna duda...

Nicolino Locche is a bit of an oddball figure in boxing. An unfit, feather-fisted, chain smoking dude with no natural athleticism, he nonetheless is the hardest to hit fighter in the history of boxing. Dude could do totally nutso things like stand with his hands behind his back and dodge incoming punches, and once fought four rounds while holding a conversation with a member of the audience. If he spoke more English, and was willing to leave Argentina, he'd be a legend today.

y mira.. floyd gano todas las peleas que tubo.. nicolino en su tiempo era muy bueno, ya a lo ultimo intento seguir pero ya tenia una edad muy avanzada, hay que ver, muchos piensan que los boxeadores de antes eran mas fuertes.. estas cosas se las dejo a las peliculas de rocky.. esto de especular quien podria ganar no tiene sentido, locche murio, y floyd no, aparte locche dioun buen show.. antes de la pelea contra fuji estaba durmiendo.. no creo que nadie pueda estar tan distraido como para dormir
