  • Kind of like a kid looking for Santa Claus...

  • "The commitment of our forces to this fight (Iraq) was done with a casualness and swagger that are the special province of those who have never had to execute these missions - or bury the results." ~ Lt. General Gregory Newbold

"Death has a tendency to encourage a depressing view of war." ~Donald Rumsfeld

  • The poster wishes the mainstream media was not at the event. Contrary to what he says in the sidebar is a different viewpoint from the cameraman from France.

People are more interested in our

American Soldiers that are fighting than people that are protesters.

The American fighting men are the ones that deserve credit for their sacrifices.

So why does the poster point away from our fighting men to a small group of dissidents?

Because he doesn't understand what matters most.

  • You are sadly mistaken. The poster DOES understand what matters most. He understands that if mainstream media fails to report this they are keeping reality at bay for the majority of the US since that's where most get their information, unfortunately. The people who testified are not just "protesters" they are veterans of Iraq and Afghanistan and are trying to get the truth out to their fellow citizens. Wake up!

  • Sadly mistaken about what? That the camerman from France has a balanced view?

Mainstream media makes a decision as to what is important. That's their decision. I know all about this event from the YouTube. The other cameraman that is hooking a cable to the camera is preaching to the choir.

And what about the thousands of American soldiers that are veterans of Irag and Afghanistan that far outnumber the protestors. What they don't count because they are not protesting?

    Truth...who's truth?

  • Are you a veteran of this conflict? Were you at the hearings? What do you really know of what is taking place? What you see and hear on the Fox and CNN networks? Mainstream media, which is owned largely by mega corporations and which are also involved in the military industrial complex decide what they want the general public to see and hear. That does not mean that is what is important. Good grief, what sort of education did you receive here in the US anyway? When did you graduate high school?

  • You are correct sir. Heres an example for the sheeple...MSNBC is owned by NBC, which is owned by GE, which is owned by Raytheon, which is the third largest U.S. military contractor. Military Industrial Complex complicity equates to no coverage.
