It's pretty pants to be honest as it's an emulator. I'm wanting a proper patch of it that I can add to the rom to play it in multiplayer on a real system through a flash cart or any SNES multiplayer emulator I want to.
Please somebody make it happen and multiplayer patch the rom rather than patch an emulator for multiplayer.
I know it's probably possible because it's already possible to patch the rom for all practice tracks.
If that were in the original, more people would have played F-Zero. Seriously! Everytime I ask someone: "Hey, have you heard of F-Zero?" they ask "What's that?"
I remember reading in a videogame magazine about BS F-Zero being multiplayer. Turns out it wasn't true, but I still wanted to play multiplayer F-Zero. Thanks for making that dream come alive! I'm surprised no one thought of this before, I hope it inspires others to make more games multiplayer that weren't intended to be so.
I'm guessing it's intended more for LAN, but how well does it work over the net? I wonder if a matching service will come of it.
the functionality is all working, i just need to make it all look pretty, get a nice server interface etc and make the networking portion more robust. i might release a v0.1 without all this stuff if i dont get around to doing it soon
I cant get this shit to work....

Next time, on SNESOT, (SNES Online-Tournaments) you will be able to play Online-Tournaments with F-Zero VS Emulator and the needed rom !

@wrestletube1 Doing something like that would probably involve a major rewrite of the entire game engine. It's not practically possible.

Well, if you used a virtual LAN program (like Hamachi), you could theoretically play this over the internet, I think. :)
I've not tried, however, so I may be wrong.

[To KizulEmeraldFire]
Tried your theory by using Hamachi with 2 friends.
Worked perfectly. =P
