Shes really pretty. Her hip is in a bit at the lope n her heads alittle bobby but i understand that its very early in her training, im currently attempting to help my friend get her horse to lope...but she is resistant...its not so much her horse :P
guys just let her train how shes doing it cuz she KNOWS wat shes doing. Not many people know what people look for in western pleasure horses, shes doing it right
She is just learning and is a young mare here in this video, just beginning to learn how to rock back on her hind end and lope correctly... she is getting it better now... I repeat she isn't ANYWHERE near broke in this video, just barely beginning to learn
i noticed how your horse pulls his hind into the center of the ring at the lope, well i broke a paint that did that same thing and its not hard to fix at all. for example, when i was breaking the paint out of that habit i just used my outside leg(especially thighs!) and my inside rein to guide his head and push his butt over. but make sure you don't use the rein to heavily. just jiggle it a little [: i hope that helps a bit [:
I want her to do that. I am asking her to bend her body and give me her hip. This video is a long time ago too... she is much farther along now, this was in the preliminary stages...
Yes that is correct. Any horse over the age of 5 cannot be shown in a bosal or snaffle. They must use a 1 handed bit and be shown usin only one hand. There are hundreds of different kinds, versions, shapes & sizes. Go to any tack store and pick one out. The hardest part is to find one your pony likes! good luck
i was not criticizing the way your horse moves. shes an awesome mover. i just didnt like how she was swinging her hip sooo much and using her head so much. the updated video was a lot better.
if you are talking about me.. i dont even have any videos of my horse loping up first of all. and second of all the video of him jogging was after only like 12 rides.
I posted those to no one in particular. They are "TO ALL" because I have gotten plenty of personal "emails" regarding comments on both of my horses performances in my videos and criticizing me as a rider. Neither of which did I ask for nor do I welcome. Do not take it personally, I just do not like rude people, if your not rude then don't worry!

She is out of the 1999 Black Stallion Always The Choice. However he is now deceased, he died on the surgery table during "colic" surgery when he was only 6 years old. He has a lot of babies on the ground from the only 3 years he bred to the public. There is a video of him here on YouTube if you search for his name...
yes i have heard of him he is a nice horse ..she looks alot like him and moves just like him to ...let me know when the next video comes out with her..
TO ALL FINAL: I also notice that people who post comments with "helpful comments" never have any videos with anything that does what they are telling me to do... You should evaluate your selves before doing so with others....
if you are trying to get her to use her hind end so much i suggest not holding her back so much. just really pushing her into the bit and getting the rigt impulsion and movement is better than slow and head-bobbing right from the beginning. once you have the impulsion, you can always slow them down.
TO ALL CONTINUED: In this video I am solely trying to get her drive strongly behind and develope a rhythmn. While doing this I could care less if she needs to use her head a little bit or kick her hip in for awhile to figure it all out. I care about the end results not instant gratification.
To ALL: I realize that she is using her head to lope... She is young and I want her to figure it out herself. This video is also from january. During the process of "teaching" a horse to do western pleasure correctly certain things get better and worse as you go.
shes a beautiful mover. but she is way over canted. and she is using her head and neck to help her lope. maybe pushing her forward wouldnt be so bad. shes a really nice mare. id love to see her jog.
THANKS!! I love her to death! (shes my princess) Wait until you see the update video I'm hoping to post in a couple days! I dont want to "make" her do anything, if she isnt ready I'm not going to force her. I want her to last forever! ::wink:: thanks for the awesome comment, I'm glad someone agrees with me!
