  • I got the job. -- ty

  • Great video but please slow it down a little bit ... Had used like 100 pauses in one video

  • buffer..come back after 15 mins.. voila!

  • Could have gone through these slides any faster? This 4:09 minute video took me 45 minutes to get through, OMG! I NEVER would have gone through the 20 pauses if it were not such great content. Please slow it down, watching it that fast triggered hyperactivity in my thought processes. No, seriously. Awesome job and I'm sure a lot of time and effort, but the speed of the slides was mindboggling.

  • job interviews makes me nervous I always freeze up under pressure

  • Than k you very much...very helpfull

  • When I’m rocking back & forth, talking to Jesus, I hate it when someone interrupts & feels they have to remind me we're in the middle of a job interview. Don’t they understand? Sometimes you just have to stop what you’re doing & talk to Jesus. Sometimes they also get mad when I put "Jesus" on my application form as an emergency contact.

  • this must be the most frequently paused video on youtube

  • @dogman94100 i am damn sure

  • I agree with Dogman94100.This video must be slow video on youtube.

  • @dogman94100 haha

  • I haven't heard anyone address an interview that I just had from a school board when I was apply for a position. They wanted to know what did I learn from my job that was an experience for me. I worked for this company over 25 years and I never thought of the experinece I learned because I was doing so many things at this company that I had retired from I never gave it a second thought and I felt the answer I gave wasn't good enough. So how do you answer a question like that?

  • I really Like this I actually write down thoes type questions answer them and then read it out loud in direct order then when asked its already in my head to automatically recall what I wrote previously witout be nervous u rock good luck to all on the job hunt again we thank you.

  • I remember working this shit job and didn't want to be there, so I walked into the server room and pulled some wires connected to the main computer. The owner actually cried!! It was awsome!

  • im going to use this when i think about it could of helped me back then

  • Woah, question #14 at 1:22

  • I would NEVER ask about benefits! or anything else that is about you (ie when do I get vacation etc) questions should be related to what benefits the employer. but thats just me

  • This is great information that everyone should have memorized before going to any job interview.

  • thank yoU so much.! great help :)

  • What do you do for fun? has no place in a professional job interview.

  • Some of these are definitely helpful, but a few are way too cheesy. Be careful they don't stare right through you on some of these.

  • thanks im going for a job interview tomorrow. this makes me feel alot less nervous!

  • I think cookie cutter answers would show that you're dishonest and only telling an employer what they want to hear instead of the truth.

  • #12 sounds kinda dirty.

  • @Nerd0042 Haha, so does seven ^^

  • Question 37: Are you a Boss From Hell?

My annoying EX-boss took it one level up when she "nominated" me to volunteer for the safety committee. Safety committee? Me? Really? We are doomed!

See the “true” conversation on Boss From Hell - A True Story (1.5)

  • I am joining the BMO bank of montreal team. This did help very much. Although do not take it all into consideration, I have friends who are HR pros and they checked this out with me saying "its decent " about the being liked statement.... this is the perfect answer; liked and respected. Because if your a team player and a efficient one you will advance in the companies ladder and you will be liked. Being liked is very important especially when attempting to grow. Remember contacts are KEY.

  • Many good questions and answers. However a few of them sound false to me. For example:

The answer to question 36: "Do you have any questions to me" is "Will I have the office key so I can work on the weekend?". WTF. No normal person really likes to work on weekends. It will sound stupid or false.

Another: question 16 "What's your greatest weakness?". Saying that you are too focused on the work and need more time to relax would certainly sound fake!

  • @OtavioVeras I totally agree, but still - I like the vid, easy to generalise it beyond just "law" which it seems to be designed for. I found it helpful and interesting so thanks MaryNLowLow :)

  • Amazing, Amazing video, thank you so much

  • Good video! This was very helpful! For more helpful tips Google the book Dorm Room to Boardroom. This book is filled with amazing knowledge and good tips!

  • lol office key was funny

  • helpful video; however, a lot of the questions were repetitive..

  • I shiver and tremble alot during interviews, this video gave me more confidence..thanks for putting up this video.

  • I was asked this strange question at an interview, "You seem so happy at this interview, how will I know that you are always going to be like this? Or is this just for the interview that you are cheerful?" I responded that I am a happy person, this is my personality. How do you answer such a weird and rude question?

  • @srbumblediva Lol that was a weird and rude question but i think you handled it well. You could also say I'm happy overall because I'm looking forward to all the contributions I will possibly make to your company. Always redirect the question back to the company when in doubt.

I have an interview tomorrow(my first) I've done some research and am pretty confident :)

  • Thank's a lot!

  • wait is it better to take a internship or go heads on without any experince and if it is inportant to intern put up a video about that and questions that i might have or something thx

  • Thank's a lot!!!!

  • god job interviews are such unbelievable bullshit.

  • I love this video, very informative. I wish the slides stayed on the screen for longer, it moved kind of fast.

  • Isn't it sad that we have come to this? I worked for a company years ago where I was employed for 13 years and back in the day, not one of these questions were asked, just a few simple questions and a background check on my previous employers, everything is such a "game" these days, and if you answer just one question with a touch of humanity, you are not considered for the job, so glad I am retired now and don't have to worry about this shit.

  • @fairiegirlga

i agree with you sir. not even with me.For my case 1st question was about salery, 2nd question was about my visa validity, degree attestation and offer letter. thats it. i was into al lthis shit before that.

but for an interview i would consider to revise your practicle skills you have learned in your educations and experience.

  • @lunasearevived

are you suggesting not listening to any of this advice? What would you answer to these questions?

  • very good thankyou

  • all the company look for a person that NEEDS to work in order to be happy since he is an idiot that needs to fell that he is a part of something and that the company takes care of him (sort of a father figure) and Would gladly work for FREE, anthing outside that, makes you a human being and not just a DRONE so they will not like that, example.: this stupid questions, they do not really care, they just want to know if you are willing to do what and how they want without thinking for yourself

  • If you want to sound like other job applicants, follow these standard answers.

  • I spent an hour to watch and take notes while watching this video. Good post.

  • sweet

  • good effort alot of question are unreadable, nice try

  • This was helpful. Thank you

  • hi ;) do you have any job interviews Q&A about nursing position? thanks. btw great tips, helps a lot

  • This should be a mandatory read for all job seeker's. I have played this video over and over for the last 10 days. I have prepared my own presentation from memory. I just came back from an interview much more relaxed because of the structure. I was in control of the interview! I am confident that I will be employed soon.

    Thank You!

  • i watched this 4:09min video for 30 min...thanks for putting this up

  • Good interview question to be prepared...

  • I hope everyone else uses these answers so that I get the job instead...

  • be feared or like?

hhmm, in the the book, The prince, by niccolo machiavelli, he says that, if youre going to lack one of them, its better to lack being liked and be feared instead.

    so id rather be feared.

  • Most of the questions are great but a few seem to repeat themselves and tips are placed at seemingly random points. Also, this was obviously prepared for interviewing with a Law firm - It would have been nice to know that in advance since I am not and that made a few of the questions and responses seem odd.

  • Oh this is very good help! These will definitely be asked by my Professional Development teacher on my Mock Interview. Thank you for posting

  • This is a great vid.

  • Liked or feared?

Why wouldn't you rather be liked?

  • @TheHaloChief117. In response to your question below regarding being liked or feared... At work, being liked is not my only concern. If completing a task at work means someone may not like me, I will do my best to resolve the situation, but I will not worry if another employees feelings were hurt in the process of completing the task. Of course, being liked is a positive answer, but in a corporate setting it sounds weak.

  • @MaryNLowLow I agree
