From 2:05 on; so hardcore. I was 10 at the time I bested this.

Our parents had no idea at the time how talented we were becoming in playing these difficult NES games. This sequence alone was a great trial of observation, timing, responsiveness, and patience.

I was responding to and overcoming real interactive trials in my little bedroom tapping away at my control pad, whilst my mom sat comatose in her recliner watching some mind numbing TV show.

I remember I suffered a lot of deaths in this level at first because the timing has to be so perfect. But once you beat this, it is a blast every time you play it. Level 7 took me longer to beat.

True that, the fighter plane thing was a bitch, even moreso than stage 3. Hell, even with the almighty Game Genie this game would still endlessly rape you! Yet somehow I always found myself coming back for more. To this day I still love this game, even though I curse it every time I play.

You have to manually jump from each platform,

...jump, land, jump land...just make sure you line up the jumps right....(dont press up or down...)

Wow, I remember spending my child free-time memorizing the sequence in this level--god it was difficult, but, the amazing sense of accomplishment!

Battletoads was sooo difficult. I'm convinced our generation has some serious serious skills because of games like these--perhaps I think this one level prepared me for college.
