I agree that the sign should changed, though it feels like this video has been edited to remove the proper context and discussion. The argument is about whether the sign featuring the N word should be changed or preserved for historical reasons. As the football stand is not a museum, I believe it should be changed.

There are a few indigenous Australians in my class at school, and most of the class who are friendly with them say, "Hey, Nigger!" as a greeting. This is incomplete and misleading. It is a show about one sign in a rural town, not a general policy. It is about the Nigger Brown stand in Toowoomba. Brown was an anglo-saxon rugby league international with a deep tan and an apt surname. I don't believe calling him "Nigger" Brown was meant to be racist or abusive. There are a few indigenous Australians in my class at school, and most of the class who are friendly with them say, "Hey, Nigger!" as a greeting. The convicts sent were sent because they had skills in infrastructure building for Australia. The important part to note is per capita GDP, which means Australia outperforms those countries, and even the USA, Canada, and the UK. I think racism is really bad (obviously), but somehow I can't seem to be able to compare aboriginals to african blacks! To me it's like two totally different races. Just like germanic people and slavic people are considered the same (because they are white), but we're not. Next they're gonna call maoris asians! :P

@PowerMatty Well, as someone who has been to Australia a couple of times, I notice the whites of that continent don't refer to Aborigines as "Chinks", "Gooks", "Japs", "Injuns", "Krauts", "Micks" or "Wops". They call them "DARKIES", "COONS", "BLACK BASTARDS", "BLACK CUNTS" & "NIGGERS".
Those racial epithets are only reserved exclusively for BLACK PEOPLE.
Aboriginals view themselves as 'Black' & so do their enemies (White Australia). If you have a problem with that, TOUGH SHIT!!!!

I am a white Australian and I have never used the word "nigger" to describe any black person, nor have I used it to put down someone. I don't know a lot of people who do, I hardly know anyone that does. We are not racist in Australia at all. America would be more racist than us. By a lot. Sure we have golliwogs and the blackfaces sketch but they have the KKK. To classify us as all racist is stupid and ignorant, much like being racist.
