  • No Slash? .A.

  • castlevania music for me starts 3:12

  • So many nights playing this game, I love it, feel like playing it again.

  • Best part starts up at 1:34 !!!

  • one of the hardest castlevania game, but still good

  • I like what they did to the port's music. it's so... SNES. Better that Rondo's.

  • No matter how cool the music was, I always liked Castlevania IV better. It was a better game.

  • @SeeD1985 Controls were awesome in that game, wonder why they didn't put it in this one?

  • @kingofqwerty: maybe because they focussed too much on the graphics of part V, I don't know. But I never found it very playable, same goes for "Richter mode" in Symphony of the Night"...

  • the composer is michiru yamane...

  • 1.30 and onwards is CASTLEVANIA with capital words :D

  • lmao watching this game play its easy to see the pattern of the boss and enemies but when i was a kid id be like OH NOOO WHATS NEXT hahaahahahah :P

    thats just me though :P

    thanks for posting this vid

i was wondering if you might be able to give me a history about the castlevania games? i just recently got into them :( i feel like ive missed out :?

    thanks :)

  • HOW DO YOU DO THE BACKFLIP??? I can't figure it out....though i haven't tried much either

  • @RCCola339 Double tap jump.

  • @shreddybits thanks

  • Flawless????

    It s almost impossible!

    Unbelieveble!!!!

    Well Done!

  • Is it bad that I like the PSP version of Divine Bloodlines simply because the key of the last part of the song before loop was changed to match the key of the rest of the soong?

  • 4:36 Doesn't that sound a lot like Weird Al's Dare to be stupid?

  • Richter's theme is much better than that from PSP. Purely excellent.

  • AWESOME!!!

But you've missed the "Stage Selection" Theme. In fact there is just an excerpt of this song in the end of the medley...

  • Its nice but does anyone know the theme at 1:28

  • it's the music from stacge one, also known as richter belmont's theme

  • Late reply but,

    "Richter Belmont's Theme"

  • Clocktower theme 5:40

    The best!

  • I love that theme that starts at 1:30, I think I got a remixed version from PSP off my friend :)

  • awesome music I like this versions music more than rondos... but theyr both great

  • ive always wantes to own all castlevanias, but what a hard task to do when i started well to late , nooooooooooooooooooooooooo

  • In my opinion, Music wise, Aria wasn't so hot.

But in terms of gameplay and graphics.. Whew.. Aria was pretty damn awesome. The story was okay.. an interesting twist

  • The thing that gets me about this one is just how reused so much of the soundtrack was from previous games.

And I can't say they improved on the tracks over the NES versions.

  • Personally, I dig the remixes.

  • Personally i really like remixes, at least you know the music doesn't suck :D

  • you know oddly enough i think that harmony of dissonance had some great tunes in spite of how much it gets dissed (music wise)

  • Bloody Tears will always be the best in the Casslevania series for me.

  • An excellent port from Rhondo of Blood. While the music isn't as amazing as the CD version, it is still really good, once again demonstrating how powerful the SNES music engine is. The graphics are amazing.

  • Comment removed

  • the first few levels of this game look pretty straight forward...I've heard that SOTN is a fan favourite - I need to buy it off of PSN, for sure

  • it is a good game

  • SOTN is my second favorite game of all time, after Final Fantasy 6

  • Okay, well, I'm sold, then! FF6 is hard to compete with, especially for an action game...have you played most of the other Castlevanias? How would you say it competes with Aria and Dawn of Sorrow?

  • I haven't played Aria or DoS, but it's completely different from 1,2,3, and 4. It's an RPG, where you level up the main character, and there is an enemy list to fill up, each with 2 drops, one common, and one rare. There is a castle map, which fills up as you explore. And, once you finish the game, you can go back as Richter, and play it as traditional Castlevania. One of my absolute favorites!

  • @chieflookout76 FF6 and SOTN are two of my all time faves also

  • I wonder why people say this game is so horrible. It looks pretty epic.

  • The game was good but it didn't compare to Rondo of blood.

  • It's a "remixed" version of Rondo of Blood. So most of the hate is from fans of the original. IMO it stands well on its own so go play it yourself.

  • @MasterBelmont

It's not horrible by any stretch of the imagination, yes it's a down port, but for what it is on the SNES it's still a damn good game. Just ignore the pretentious asswhipes who think they're special for playing some Japanese import few people have ever played.

  • What's interesting is that I can hear lots of instruments in that intro song that I've heard in lots of other SNES games. It's really neat to try and figure out where you've heard them before.

  • nice gameplay!

  • the song that plays after Bloody tears is incredible, what's the name?

  • It's called "Cemetery."

  • too bad the option to listen those awesome musics has been gone ,so you,re forced to beat manny levels to listen to them,as it makes it more spawned, nor hard to do that, duo thosee terrific controls.

  • This game had incredibly good music

  • 8:30, hey it's the N64 song! I luv that song!!

  • ckool levels.

  • Bloody Tears does not appeal to me on this game.

  • Man the stage 1 music is EPIC!!

  • This had the better music of the two, hands down. Then again, that's just me *laughs* I could never really get behind the music from the Japanese version. Sound sounded...way too synth/off for me, sorry!

  • I agree, I liked this music better than the other one as well.

  • i like the song on 3:14 what he name?

  • Bloody Tears

  • I won't even go into the game because there's just too much about it that didn't work too well.... Musically, I think it's an impressive "remix" of the PCEngine version and stands up fairly well on its own.

  • That last song at 8:04 was a very interesting rendition of "Bloodlines". Is that a Tango? I like it! ^_^

  • thnks dude

    i was looking for this

    seriously

  • What the hell? None of this music is in my version of this game.

  • The intro theme, map screen, pre-boss fight music, rescue scenes and ending theme are all new. But the stage and boss themes are pretty much just "remixed" versions of the PC Engine original Rondo of Blood (now on PSP and hopefully Virtual Console soon).

  • Loved the guitar at the beginning of the opening level, & the remixes were amazing. I really like the alternate endings you could get as well, adding some extra replay value. Too bad it isn't the complete version as others had commented, but its still a decent game.

  • How long would it take to make SNES games back in the 90's?

  • your music rocks to heaven

  • What music was that from 7:11-8:03? Just wondering.

  • its the final battle music with dracula, its name is dance of illusions.

  • Thanks

  • @thechocobro: While you are fighting against Dracula, this music appears

  • i beat this game the other day fuckin great game

  • I played this through an SNES Emulator, this game does quite well standing for itself. One of the most classic Castlevanias I rather enjoyed. Great Music overall!

  • This was the SNES version of Dracula X: Rondo Of Blood, released in Japan for the PC Engine Super CD. The PC Engine game is far superior to this game due to the fact that a CD has more memory than a SNES cart, the music is much better on the PC Engine too.

  • I agree. Thing is, most people have never played that version, so I opted to go with the release that some would actually remember. I might do a video for the PCE game one day.

  • That would be great. You know, I believe R.O.B. is out on psp-though I don't think it is called Rondo of Blood.

  • I wrote that message quite a while back, and I've made a vid for Rondo of Blood (PCE) since then. Check out video #269.

  • I prefer the SNES version, actually. Maybe it's just the chip tune lover in me. You have to admit though, this is really excellent sound quality for a SNES game.

  • @SNKTHX2000 i disagree the music i found in the Snes had a charm to it, so did the gameplay :D.

  • @Rawrgazim I have to agree the Music on the Snes version is excellent I mean redbook audio is real music but this is generated in realtime with the Snes soundchip and sounds pretty close to the PC Engine tunes I think that's a quite a feat in itself.

  • @msimplay :D

  • @SNKTHX2000 But you must consider what they did without the CD here, they pushed the Snes sound chip to its limits. How can anyone ignore that .

  • @SNKTHX2000 not exactly, i have the PC version and the graphics arent as good on the palyer or background and the music is the about the same, this sound track being a bit 'funkier'. Technically you are right, but in real life, my case is true.

  • @SNKTHX2000 lol what would you expect everything was better on the pc :] today this game is gem and very rare at least here in europe

  • This game sure brings back memories, even though i used a Game Genie cheat tool on my emulator for me to beat it...heh,heh..
