When I moved to the scottish highlands in 94 (heaven on earth) I came down for a family visit and just went to go out there to give my dogs some space one evening and as it was near the soltice there was a 4 mile exclusuion zone....and the police were being a little facist lol. Can't remember what year it was but am so glad it has changed. I am only a few miles away but no car and can't walk that far lol....maybe next year. Love Avebury cause you can hug the stones.
