  • I would not drink Natty Light just out of principle. lol

  • @FrogJon Have you ever had it?

  • @AgileHProductions

Yes, but never again. If I drank beer merely to get drunk I wouldn't mind it, but that isn't what beer is for me.

  • 2:00...."Mark...I would like and extensive flavor profile of the beer." (tries not to laugh)

  • @mgwu36 This is such a complex lager. :)

  • @AgileHProductions ...I seriously rewound that part like 30 times...absolutely hilarious

  • It's cheap and it's nearly 6 percent alcohol. LOL It gets you fucked up. For 11$ a 30 case I'll drink anything. :D

  • @devilledevil98 6 Percent? Are you talking about Natural Ice?

  • im about to go buy some

  • you call this beer? I wouldn't give this crap to a man dying of thirst.

  • @TheTestingGrounds For some people this is their favorite beer. Not me, but for some people.

  • I'd also like to add in response to a prior comment concerning PBR. I like it. It has a lavenderesque type note, which I usually don't like, but somehow it works with Pabst. Another interesting observation is that PBR cans are leagues above the bottles.

  • I understand the amount consumed seems shocking but I get into a rhythm with natty. It takes on a Perrier feel with just a hint of, what I like to call a, ricey sweetness. I must add that I come from beer on ice in cooler only school. Also, we shun bottles but will drink them if the situation arises. So the highly poundable natty can fits well in this scheme.

  • Not to mention I mixed in a few Bud cans. Now if I drink a bunch of Budweiser I definitely feel it the next day. Use to drink a lot of Bud but then my stomach looked like I was about to give birth to twins so I had to make a change. Didn't like natty at first but I have grown to love it. It has to be ice cold and it goes great with poke (raw fish Hawaiian style).

  • Well sir. I drank about 32 on Sunday and woke up Monday morning feeling great.

  • @deniapavao Wow. I don't think a doctor would recommend that level of consumption. :)

  • Love Natty. Super cold It's fucking delicious. Never a hangover.

  • @deniapavao Never a hangover? I'm guessing you didn't have enough.

  • lol that shit is sooo garbage

  • @hmt741 One man's trash is another man's treasure.

  • hey beer guys, i am in up Syracuse , NY "old Vienna" EVERYWHERE.... send 20$ i will send u a twelve'er

  • PBR is the best cheap beer by far

  • there is a beer for anyone who has ever lived in way up NE USA called "old Vienna" Canadian brew...7$ 12pak btls .....incredible beer

  • @WeeklyIntegrate You should send us a 12 pack to review on the show. It's not something we can get around here.

  • the host and the chef dead on...the other 2 r uppity faggs...natty lite is like the EVAN WILLIAMS of beer...best bang for yur buk

  • @TheOzarkRedneck There are a lot of people that agree with you. I don't know if its the best, but it sure is cheap!

  • 8.0 is the new 5.0 haha

  • I'm neither a college kid nor do I belong to the NASCAR crowd. In fact I brew my own beer at home and have been a fan of craft beers for over 9 years....nevertheless I'm not above enjoying a natty, old milwaukee, olympia, busch, colt 45, mickey, or keystone on a hot ass day, after sex, or after a hard day at work. Why? because although I enjoy complexity in my beer, I still enjoy the simple inexpensive things in life and I realized my shit does stink after all. fuck beer snobs.

  • @BESTIACRUEL8 I'd say that my "beer belief system" is probably similar to yours. I like good beers, but I'm not too good for any beer.

  • @BESTIACRUEL8

Yeah I with you, I loove good, craft beer, but I would never turn down an adjunct lager if I'm offered one. Hell Miller High Life and Labatt Blue are actually my go to's when I go fishing.

  • @BESTIACRUEL8 Well put.

  • I think Budweiser select is the best domestic

  • As a baller on a budget. I pound nattys and Canadian mist whenever the opportunity for this youngin arises. I love it but not my first choice

  • @tcork1224 Natural Light was my beer of choice in college.

  • I don't see why people complain about the taste. It just taste like water to me. I mean that's all that matters when you're just trying to get drunk right? lol

  • @madskrillz2 I drank a ton of it in college and didn't complain once.

  • @AgileHProductions Yeah I'm in college now and I drink it all the time. But I have friends that say it taste awful. Mind you, these are dudes that drink Coors Light. To me that's just like saying one kind of bottled water taste better than another.

  • I for one can say I will not drink that beer... lol

  • natty lights a beer you drink after 10 shots

  • @MikexOXgiant You still want to drink after 10 shots? Sounds awful.

  • its smelled grainy and tasted grainy. The smell to me smelled like a YMCA pool

  • Giving this beer a 5 and good beers like Trois Pistoles and Old Raputin a little more than a 6 is nonsense. Overall I like your videos but sometimes it seems that you come up with really stupid reasons to give crappy beers better ratings than they deserve and good beers lower rationgs than they deserve.

  • @52tlove I can't say that I always agree with the panelists. But, it's there opinion and I can't really argue that. I hope you will check out our video called "How We Rate Beer". It's a good video to give come background on the ratings. You can find the rating scale at BetterBeerAuthorityDOTcom. According to how I wrote the scale, most beers will probably fall between 5 and 7. Anything above a 7 is something that the panel is really excited about. 9.3 is the highest rating ever.

  • @52tlove It's not a perfect system, but it is based on actual concrete actions - like would I actually buy this again.

  • Lol, I was 16 years old and this was the first 12 pack I ever drank by myself when I was on a fishing trip. I remember going home with nothing but a headache. C'mon, 16 years old and drinking an entire 12 pack? I should have been crawling home. The beer sucks. The taste - the buzz - it's just plain gross.

  • If you're too uppity to drink it out of a can... love it! LOL

  • @fozzyisjerich0 You know I'm not too uppity, that's for sure! Thanks for watching and subscribing.

  • Milwaukee's Best is my favorite economy beer.

  • Not a stuck up yuppie beer, I would bet its sales are higher than any beer that is bought by the anal crowd...I classify this beer as the average working Joe's beer.

  • @moronson This is the 6th best selling beer in America. It blows away all craft brews in sales.

  • Busch Light.

    Why?

    $1.99 for a 40oz.

  • Believe me, there have been many times when this was the ONLY beer option - and I passed every time. If I can't drink a Newcastle or similar dark brew, I'm drinking WATER.

  • @AMFMDX Turning down beer? That goes against everything I stand for. :)

  • Carbonated Swill indeed! The only advantage is it doesn't taste as metallic as Milwaukee's Best(?!).

  • U might as well be drinking piss, but I still drink it by the case : P

  • @dirtdemon6 Good point!

  • Haha I love this one ! Once again Chimay brings TROUBLE ! I'm startin' to see the point of your channel, very original. It feels bad thinkin someone would rate chimay as high as that stuff, but in a way it's very interesting how everybody enjoys stuff differently. Love how y'all ain't takin' yoselfs too seriously.

  • @SlikkTim Thanks for watching. This is one of my favorite episodes. I think it's a nice contrast to some of the other high-end beers we've been doing.

  • I love that you guys do BMC's as well as crafts. I think it helps keep everything in perspective.

And I am proud to say, 31 and still a natty light virgin!

  • @YayBeerReviews We will drink anything... and I mean anything!

  • No....no, chef. Everyone will not drink this.

  • @TheBitterUpperLip I've never seen Chef turn down a beer. It's hard to imagine finding something he won't drink. :)

  • I remember in college the Total Wine near my parent's house would have long neck bottles of Natty Light, that was a luxery for us, but tasted so good at the time.

  • @dhartogs Those were the days...

  • LMAO!!!

  • @charvelgtrs Glad you liked it. I think this is one of my favorite episodes!

  • In my opinion, the best use for Natty Light is for drinking at a party after you have had a few craft beers. Once you reach a certain point of intoxication you can no longer appreciate finely crafted beers as well as they deserve, so if you want to keep drinking, just drink this "swill" as it was so affectionately called in the video.

  • rofl, classic episode. this debate is getting pretty heated. Mark looks like he's ready to take his jacket off over it.

Great review. I think my favorite economy beer might be Sierra Nevada Torpedo, does that count? haha, nah maybe Schlitz or PBR.

  • @adramatictheme If Torpedo is an economy beer for you then you must be wealthy! I love me some Schlitz and PBR!

  • A little bit upset that I wasn't asked to be in this piece guys!

  • @mcbin Should we reshoot it with you? You are an expert! Maybe we could shoot a beer grab bag episode where everyone pulls a random beer out of a bag and reviews it. That would be a true tribute to you!

  • @AgileHProductions I don't know... But if you do a grab bag episode, I can volunteer to be the supplier! I enjoy the episodes, and have tried many of the beers you have reviewed(and boy do I love Hopslam now), but I still love the Natty as well as other 'cheap' brews. Let me know when you shoot next and I'll try to stop by!

  • when it comes to cheap beer you just cant beat PBR:)

  • Hey could you guys do a review on Leffe Blonde?

  • @z0a0c7h I will add it to the list!

  • @AgileHProductions Leffe blonde is great !

  • I think bud heavy is the best economy beer. It's actually pretty delicious on tap, but if I was short on cash and had an objective for the evening (if you know what I mean), I would go for bud.

Yuengling is also pretty cheap around me, so that's a pretty good go to. Rolling Rock isn't half bad either.

  • so im guessing we have... a nerd?. FBI, a teacher. and them some nut with a beer case on his head. lmao. and if you want to get drunk why not some vodka or tequila. not as much peeing and more alcohol

  • I am a beer connoisseur and take my beer seriously, nevertheless I am not a beer snob that's above pounding a 12 pack of natty....My favorite economy beer is old milwaukee. I loved this review it was fun to watch.

  • Love the banter at the end of the review, that was hilarious. My favorite "economy" beer still has to be Busch.

  • @nlwrigh We're definitely getting a little more comfortable with our roles on the show. Hopefully we can do some shows that are as good as this one.

  • Favorite cheap bad beer is definitely Olympia. woot.

  • I think you should review Miller lite. As you know, "It is Triple-Hops Brewed".

  • @brandon0409 I'm not sure if our palettes are refined enough for triple-hops.

  • @AgileHProductions nobody's palettes is refined enough LOL

  • do you guys also review H2O because natty light is pretty much water.

  • You guys are getting good, very funny. Keep up the good work.

  • @TheHammer609 Thanks for the nice compliment. We're going to keep trying to get better.

  • Do big flats from walgreens. 2.99/6er

  • @ilovefastcars89 Funny thing this is mentioned, my dad asked us to do the same beer on the show, he is bringing us some the end of this month.

    Chef

  • @ilovefastcars89 There is a walgreens close to us. I'll have to look for that.

  • I'm looking to buy some Blatz when I go to Chicago this summer. It's not sold in the South.

  • @ronaldtheriot It's definitely worth looking for!

  • My favorite economy beer is Victoria! Available only in Mexico. Its around 46 pesos for 6 12oz bottles. Which amounts to about less than 4 dollars US. I have no idea why it's so cheap because it's made from quality products and it taste much better than most mainstream Mexican beers (crap corona) But get ahold of some if you can.

  • @edersiomoran I really like Victoria, my second favorite Mexican Cerveza, after Pacifico. Victoria is made by Modelo, the same folks that bring you Corona and others. Victoria Nuestra!!

  • YES! Natty light

  • 5 on the scale yet 8 on the screen??? Do some more BMC reviews!

  • @sqhschief I hate it when I make stupid mistakes like that. I put a correction in the description.

  • Miller High Life... Greatest daily drinker of all time.

  • @alexflum That was my go-to beer when I lived in Atlanta. I really just liked the bottles.

  • NATTY LIGHT WOOOOOOOOOOO

  • Natural Light on tap?... I hope not!! Its a waste of space for a tap, the only tap part of this beer is the 98% tap water in it.

  • I can only assume that you reviewed this beer to kick off the new season of NASCAR that started 2 weeks ago.

  • @brandon0409 I wish there was that much planning involved.

  • you shold get ahold of some canadian macro lagers they're not light!! haha

  • hey we finally got to see Chef's hair!

love the shots of the various beer sculptures - especially the beeramid!

I agree with Mark - why not just rate 1-4?

Chef should try Bud Light & Clamato Chelada - THEN he'll know what a 0 beer is!

  • @ChadzBeerReviews I wish we had gotten a full case for better beer sculptures. I could've made beer sculptures all night.

I was actually thinking about the Bud Light and Clamato on my bike ride tonight. I've never had it, but I thought it would make an interesting review.

  • @ChadzBeerReviews - You can't make a Michelada with Bud Light, try Tecate, Modelo Especial, Victoria, or Pacifico.

From a good friend from Mexico City: Michelada: beer with lime juice, on a salt rimmed glas.

-Michelada cubana: The above, plus Maggi and/or Worcestershire sauce. Tabasco or some other hot sauce to taste.

-Ojo Rojo: the above plus Clamato.

The first two are often called chelada/ michelada respectively, in certain regions (Gulf Coast).

  • I have had before, and would probably go below a 5, but still would finish the beer. Maybe I have a drinking problem...or maybe i am always curious enough to find out why each beer is made and for what audience...

  • Looks like a fun review, though I would never drink this beer. I used to drink miller lite all the time but never again. Craft Beer is the only way to go

  • I think Natty Ice flows through my mom's veins!

  • @watsodj She must be a special woman.

  • Schlitz is my favorite economy beer, but Natural Ice or Milwaukee's Best Ice are sweet as well.

  • @ronaldtheriot I drank a lot of Schlitz in college too. Probably my second most consumed beer in college. Blatz was number 3.

  • Hahaha, Nice! Dig this review!!

  • Haha great episode, I enjoyed the conflicting perspectives, although I do feel that Chef's rating was a bit unsparing. Forgive me if I'm being overly presumptuous, but If the criteria for a 4 is contingent on it being undrinkable, I think you need to reevaluate your rating system.

  • @PopeOnArope123 3 is undrinkable. 4 is barely drinkable, but you would avoid ever drinking it again. 1 or 2 are basically spit it out its spoiled.

  • @AgileHProductions I think you guys should just do thumbs up or thumbs down. You guys dont really have the refined palates to be going 1-10 yet. Maybe 1-4 or 1-5 would be more appropro

  • @ChadzBeerReviews I disagee. Not about the pallette, but about changing the rating scale. The way ours is written is based on actual actions. You spit it out or you don't (1,2) You either finish it or you don't (3,4). You either want another or you don't(4,5,6). You want to buy it again or you don't (6,7). You will recommend it or you won't (8). It's one of your favorites or its not(9,10). There is nothing fuzzy about what the numbers mean. They are all based on actions.

  • @AgileHProductions maybe Chef is ruining it for everyone else by never rating anything below a 5.

This beer is at least a 3

  • I love these nostalgia "crap beer" reviews :D

    Great job!

  • I would take some nati light over any other light beer, other than coors of course.

  • Favorite economy beer?

Certainly nothing that you can buy in a 12-pack from a big (shitty) company...

If you're looking to drink for cheap, then you simply must look into the higher gravity malts out there. Earthquake (12%), Steel Reserve (8.1%), even Four Loko (12%).

I would never turn to Natural Light. There is simply no reason to if you can get a stronger, cheaper, and better tasting brew.

  • @IsThisSumBattleToads Steel Reserve is above Natural Light? It's been a long, long time since I had Steel Reserve, but I don't remember it so fondly. Maybe I need to revisit it!

  • @AgileHProductions i agree steele reserve all the way fuck natural light
