this phone looks good but it has no wi-fi which in my opinion is a big drawback when buying a mobile phone

It has HSDPA. Unless you're a business freak or use Wi-fi constantly to connect for free (in most cases it's rare to find a very good hot spot for wi-fi) then the HSDPA makes up for it as it's available constantly.
