You should be playing traditional blasts when they first come in, not everything together.
Also, just a tip, when you're playing at slower tempos (1:20) your double-bass with sound a lot more clean if you play single strokes rather than heel-toe.

The only criticism i have is during the blasts on the ride cymbal near the start of the song it's not supposed to be a unison pattern, it's supposed to be a single stroke roll between the ride and snare with the bass drum played on the ride hits. Other then that man this cover is sick and you're foot speed is so much better then mine lol.

Trey Williams isn't the only extreme metal drummer I know of, he is, however a very decent drummer in my opinion and his drum parts for dying fetus help me build endurance. There is always going to be a better or worse drummer for people to relate stuff to. I like his style, hence the cover.

It's kind of ridiculously inhuman and obsessive to play songs that are this technical perfectly just for a YouTube cover. You comment people need to post an even better cover before even thinking he hit anything incorrectly.
at high tempos generally you should be using your fingers, and relying LESS on your wrists to do the job. Again, it may be the angle, and he might actually be using his fingers, but slamming your wrist like that is not the best way to play blasts, because they are absorbing an incredible amount of force.
@BittenMitten i´m not quite sure about this man, i play with both, but i use fingers onlye when time´s like up above 250, it all depends of how confortable you feel whether you play with fingers or with your wrists... kollias only uses wrist so... i´ts up to preference ;)

I did it to the best of my ability at the time. At no point have i intentionally cheated, the notes are still there. Can't help it if my legs move half time and deceive you, thats the way heel toe works, two notes on one foot heel followed by toe, then again on the other. Single strokes or not. notes still there

at high tempos generally you should be using your fingers, and relying LESS on your wrists to do the job. Again, it may be the angle, and he might actually be using his fingers, but slamming your wrist like that is not the best way to play blasts, because they are absorbing an incredible amount of force.

@BittenMitten i´m not quite sure about this man, i play with both, but i use fingers onlye when time´s like up above 250, it all depends of how confortable you feel whether you play with fingers or with your wrists... kollias only uses wrist so... i´ts up to preference ;)

Ok, the way I see drum covers is, It doesn't fucking matter if he does everything exactly right. As long as hes on time, and does the same kind of shit. Even when bands play live, the drummers dont play EXACTLY whats on the record, so everyone fuck off. This cover kicks ass.

@fifielcoolio Nice one, another person who classes heel-toe as cheating, only this time, you actually have videos on your page and it appears your a drummer also, you should know better. I did it to the best of my ability at the time. At no point have i intentionally cheated, the notes are still there. Can't help it if my legs move half time and deceive you, thats the way heel toe works, two notes on one foot heel followed by toe, then again on the other. Single strokes or not. notes still there

@fifielcoolio If heel toe is cheating, so is using a double stroke roll. Last I checked, the double stroke roll is listed in the P.A.S. 40 international rudiments. Heel Toe is a method of getting double stokes out of the bass drum. Double stroke=recognized rudiment, not cheating. You fail. Here's an alligator's mouth, stick your head in it.

@DreamTheater4life I can dig a lot of the beats and riffs, but I feel like sometimes it's all a little too much. Like the riffs and shit are slow than the sweep comes. I don't like how, not so much as bad with this group, but still, the lyrics always like a shock tactic. Anyway, the point I was making is simply put; 2:56 is some jungle groovin' shit, and I can dig.
