maybe they got lucky conditions in the final, but have a look at the whole tournament and you can clearly see that they deserved to be world champions. no one even came close to beating them, including sri lanka, they Aus flogged them in the other full match. 29 unbeaten world cup games is incredible. i dont think people realise how amazing this feat is.

Nah, India doesn't doctor the pitches for ODI matches like they do for test matches. No one wants to watch a 50 over or twenty20 match played on a dust bowl wicket. Thats why india's ODI record at home is nowhere near as good as their test record since they cheat less.

Thought this was a little unfair for both teams because this was not a 50 over match to start with. They could have re-scheduled it to be played at a later date and on a nicer day where the Sri Lankans could actually SEE the ball being bowled. To sldude95... Why are the Australian's cheaters? But I should say it was a match where lack of sportsmanship is highly evident.
World cup Final should be a Perfect Match. If they waited for another hr they could have easily taken the spare day and have a 50 over match. But. Well..Sri Lankans gave a brave fight.
