@keatrobot That's just because you suck. You don't know this park. Its 119 years old, And still standing. Its a miracle and its BETTER then any park with their steel coasters. But, You'd only know if you're childhood was here. I bet it wasn't, Was it?
@thespore101BACKUP Haha, so you think this place is better than for say, Cedar Point? You're on crack. And In don't have to grow up there to know that it sucks. Just like you. Go f yourself
@keatrobot Obviously everyone has their own opinions. I think this park is great little gem and I just love the atmosphere of being there. Cedar point has great rides but when I was there I didn't really enjoy the 2hr line in the sun to ride Top Thrill. If you've ever been to CLP you'll relies that it has a nice layed back atmosphere and just walking down the midway and eating park fries out buy the lake is worth the trip.
@keatrobot Ive been to cedar point, It was good, But theres memories here that you cant replace. You would understand if you where me. and @RamHam335 ....Im a girl. And Im not that mad.
me and my 12 year old cousin rode it over 50 times, in a row!!! we rode until the park closed.at first, my cousin, (who is a year older than me) was scared, then we were making fun of the skeletons and she was like, ooh! pretty lights!!!!!!!!!!! and i was like, HEY!!! ITS ACHMED THE DEAD TERROREST!!! and on cart 7, we got stuck when he pushed us, he didnt push hard enough, so at the part were you get on the chain that drags you, at the begining of it, we got stuck and it made an eerrrrr noise...
Everyone PLEASE vote to help Conneaut Lake Park receive $50,000 to help fix the Blue Streak on the Pepsi Refresh Project website. Voting ends on July 31st and Conneaut Lake Park desperately needs the help. There is a link on my channel for everyone to vote and you can find the link on Conneaut Lake Park's website as well. Thank You!!!
This ride was my favorite when I was a kid back in the late 80s. My family would go up there a several times each summer, always on Independence Day. The Blue Streak was my first coaster. My dad carried me on when I was 3. I definitely wasn't tall enough, but back then you could do things like that. I remember that tiny kid's coaster...I loved that too, because they wouldn't make you get off and you could ride it a dozen times or so! The good old Conneaut days.
It is reopened now. We went yesterday (05/26/09) For memorial day. It was a blast, but not all of the rides are reopened yet. The bluestreak won't reopen until it is refurbished. They also removed the Farris Wheel, and put in a new ride "Sky diver". Kiddieland has reopened, but no game stands have opened yet. The rides that are open are : Tilt-a-whirl, The Paratroopers (and the one next to it, not sure of the name.) The turtle, the merry-go-round, Devil's den, Witch's stew and the one next to it
The bumper cars, and the rollo-planes. But even with those being the only rides open, we still had a blast. The corkscrew is up, but i don't know if it was running or not.
It was originally named the devils den but in the 90's they changed it to Dr. Moriarity's Wild Ride. In 2001 they refurbished the ride back to original.
