dude I'm half middle eastern half indian I know it ALL believe me ..it all started in the hindu kush which than turned into 2 parts which is the indian side and the islamic side..than broke off into pakistan afghanistan etc.. islamic extremities broke down the style of dance which only india was only able to revive!! trust me I know my shit lol I can go on forever proofing you wrong ...but enjoy the rest of your day :)

Actually, the beginnign was taken from a very famous snake dance in India.
The dance itself is a representation of a cobra.
It is in fact, completely Indian.
