I have a video up now on cleaning and cooking carp. There are recipes in my book, Practical Bowfishing that offer many more varients. Later in the Spring, I will do some radio shows on "Hovey's Outdoor Adventures" and talk more about cooking carp and gar.
Hovey, you should post a video on how you cook and prepare your fish or eating. Along with smoking, I plan to find a way to prepare these fish to eat. I am just looking for a way to put the meat that was taken to use. As I stated in the previous comment, I have used the information in this video to increase my bowfishing success. Keep on sticking and stacking those fish
With as much good water as you have in Minnesota you have carp in almost every fair-size lake that is connected to the Mississippi River drainage. You also have suckers in the Spring and may take pike in some areas during the spear-fishing season. Check with your local regs. to make sure what and where you may bowfish.
Thank you very much for posting this video, I found it very informational. Although I had one question, What was the name of the lake you fished in Minnesota? I would like to get into the sport and live in this fine state. Second, was the fish lake in WI on the northwest side of the state? Once again I greatly appreciated the information in this video.
