And if you take into consideration that even though Japanese bikes go approximately 50000000 times faster then a Harley, most roads have speed limits. This means that it doesn't matter a damn thing that your Honda or Yamaha can do 700000 mp/h, since you're only allowed to go 90, a speed no Harley has trouble reaching as well.
the only people dont own harley are the people that would rather have 2 or 3 bike and have diversity instead of putting all there money into one and thats all you got it that one bike. and before you say it Harley's are not all anyone needs there are different bikes for different jobs just like cars and trucks
@MrFuckusa My, I regret to learn you have had mechanical problems with your HD. My 2000 wideglide has 75K on it and only went to the dealer once for new bearings in the front forks. It still has the all the factory equipment except for the Kuryakyn foot pegs and hand grips. I had to replace the battery last summer but hey it was 10 years old. I replaced the clutch cable because a couple of wires were sticking out but that is all man. It has been ultra reliable but it is stock.

Nice bike! i never understood why people hate harleys or any other brand of bikes. i have the exact opposite problem, i like them all! name the brand probably had it. had american, japanese, british, german,italian, etc. over 50 different bikes. from 1 to 4 cylinders. hopefully will get to ride another 50 before (god willing) im gone!
In line fours can never replace that v twin rumble and vibration. That v twin rumble can never replace the insanity with wich an inline four can accelerate. They're two different bikes. I love both cruisers are the best for commuting and long rides, sportsbikes are great for an adrenaline rush. I personally prefer the cruiser because i'm tall, and enjoy the seating. Although i wanna get a busa as weekend warrior. Will have to see what happens.

They're deliberately made loud simply to get the attention they so desperately need. Most Hardley owners change or remove the factory mufflers because the bikes are so underpowered they need all the help they can get.
"Cubic capacity" ? That'd be called "displacement" by anyone who knows anything about engines. And there are much faster / quicker bikes with much smaller displacement than these antiquated, low RPM V twins.
Well, it's kind of the same issue as with muscle cars. Maybe you know the difference between a japanese box on tires and a muscle car.
And of course there are real racing bikes with small displacement and turbo injection or whatever. But I guess a Harley gets its power by pure displacement. And thats just evil, screw that 10000 rpm shit.

The only ones being sold on Ebay & Craig's list are by desperate people that are losing houses or are in dire need of cash. Sometimes they even let 'em go cheaper so they can immediately buy a new one.
I just sold a sportster for $9800 that I paid 11.6k for 3 years ago. A sportbike would barely get half price in the same instance.
My friend just sold his 2003 HD for 10k. He bought it new for 15k. Two thirds after 7yrs?
And both sold in under 2 weeks.

@HarleyBrotherhood I hear ya. I have a rocket myself that is for sale. I'm sick of the guys with the sport bikes running their mouths. Whether its on the internet or in person, it gets old. Riding is not about going 140mph or seeing who can go faster. Its about getting out on the road and having fun, not breaking laws and thinking you are above everyone else. I can't wait to get my new Harley.

Nice bike! i never understood why people hate harleys or any other brand of bikes. i have the exact opposite problem, i like them all! name the brand probably had it. had american, japanese, british, german,italian, etc. over 50 different bikes. from 1 to 4 cylinders. hopefully will get to ride another 50 before (god willing) im gone!

In line fours can never replace that v twin rumble and vibration. That v twin rumble can never replace the insanity with wich an inline four can accelerate. They're two different bikes. I love both cruisers are the best for commuting and long rides, sportsbikes are great for an adrenaline rush. I personally prefer the cruiser because i'm tall, and enjoy the seating. Although i wanna get a busa as weekend warrior. Will have to see what happens.

@CrudeDude i dont ride a harley but i will say that the leaking harley thing was about 30 years ago when harley was teamed up with AMF the shovelheads ,and there are so many aftermarket fixes for the shovelhead now they can be made into an awesome bike too so quit saying stuff you hear other people say

They're deliberately made loud simply to get the attention they so desperately need. Most Hardley owners change or remove the factory mufflers because the bikes are so underpowered they need all the help they can get.
"Cubic capacity" ? That'd be called "displacement" by anyone who knows anything about engines. And there are much faster / quicker bikes with much smaller displacement than these antiquated, low RPM V twins.

Well, it's kind of the same issue as with muscle cars. Maybe you know the difference between a japanese box on tires and a muscle car.
And of course there are real racing bikes with small displacement and turbo injection or whatever. But I guess a Harley gets its power by pure displacement. And thats just evil, screw that 10000 rpm shit.
