I must have watched this episode 50 times and never get tired of it...my favorite is the scene in the garage when they try and find a parking spot...just to quote Oscar in one scene...{ 250.00 for a parking spot...for that price, I can get the car 3 three rooms and a bath}. If I can ever upload the episode or that scene from my DVD, I sure would! Hope we see more of that wonderful show.
" Oscar if you do this God will never forgive you." If he owned a car in New York he would". "Is this papa bear this is goldilocks WHAT ARE YOU WHISTLING IN MY EAR FOR?" CLASSIC.
look, forget about what Felix said in Itallian. What oscar said in German. In plain English that was one helluva funny segment! These other idiot shows don't even come close! The Honeymooners I Love Lucy Burns and Allen. These were lyao FUNNY! Sure don't make em like they used to.
AWESOME CAR saw one of those babies in Brooklyn a few weeks ago, on the road even.

Why did you fade and cut part of the scene at 3:21? Do you have the full scene?

$85.00 for a hot dog?
must be a real expensive hot dod. I've heard about an very expensive desert that is way more then oscar mention the price of a hot dog.

@Gothiczartan its obvious hes including the towing charge in the price of the hot dog.

I speak German, not Yiddish, but they're fairly close. It sounds like the German "Du machst das Schicksal" -- You make your fate.
Deutschlieber 2 years ago
zenarcade - Nope. Oscar is not saying the same thing. I have friends who speak Yiddish, I'll find out...
CoolWhiteChick 2 years ago
Does anyone know the full Yiddish phrase Oscar ends this scene with...?
CoolWhiteChick 2 years ago
Felix is refering to an opera in Italian translated, "the fortunes of destiny". Oscar is using the German version of it, at least I think so.
zenarcade64 2 years ago
Felix explains this at the top of the episode. Oscar repeats "The Power of Fate" in German, just as Felix told it to him, "Die Macht des Schicksals"
gilgamess 1 year ago
@zenarcade64 "la forza del destino", in italian transated, is not "the fortunes of destiny" but "the power of destiny".

This was one of Tony's and Jack's favorite episodes, and it was one of the first episodes in a sitcom that took place outside the set.
