hey, I am making the Lovely Bones in the sims 2, and I need a Gazebo, so , could I do it without the foundation ? because the gazebo she is in, in the inbetween, is flat at the bottom (flat on the ground), thaanks, bye ^.^

@BellaSwanTheVampire Not a problem at all. You just put in the walls on the ground, add the roof, then delete the walls as per instructions. Then if the gazebo needs a wooden floor, just put one in

@Epamplin1 You should try some of the wackier ideas. I've put fish ponds in lounge rooms, a bar and a pool where the games room would be in a house. If you don't know how to make a basement, just ask, but there's all kinds of things you can do with them as well. You can go up to 5 storeys high, and at least one basement level.

I'm to step 4, where you get the connecting stairs hooked to the gazebo, but when I try to put the stairs on the latticed deck, it tells me 'can't place top landing'? Do you know what that means, or how I can fix it so it won't say that?

@jessishott Make sure you're at least three squares in from the edge of the block, and the area surrounding the deck is level where you want to put the stairs. Then you put the pointer where the top landing should be, and move it in a circular motion until the arrow goes green, and is pointing in the direction you want it to go

im halfway building an awesome house (go to my favourites and ull see sumthin like my totally awesome sims 2 house) until i realised i needed half walls i have no ep's or stuff packs so how do i get half walls the girls description in that big house said she didnt use any ep's or stuff packs. HELP ME???:(

I had the same problem too, last year i didnt have Sims 2 Nightlife (with half walls). What i did to make half walls was use a fence. Its not a half wall but it can sure look like one =)

the way to do this is by building a wall where u want the half-walls. then you build a single square of foundation, a couple of squares away. you then type in the cheat 'boolprop constrainfloorelevation false' (without the quotes). then use the flatten terrain tool and drag from the foundation over all of the walls you want to be made smaller. Then remove the foundation and type 'boolprop constrainfloorelevation false' to put the cheats back to normal. Thanks

That's good to hear. =) I've recently gotten into building my own houses and I've learned how to do a plethora of things. mikeInside is where I learned how to do various things. They have very clear tutorials ranging from very easy to very hard. Just google mikeInside and you should find it no problem.

I just made the gazebo first, then I got the water tool (found in terrain in build mode) and just clicked around and under the gazebo until I had a decent sized pond.
