  • @zzhomeboy1 I think you're having a stroke. I work out at PF 4-5 times a week. It's clean, cheap and the 25 lb. plates there weigh as much as the 25 lb. plates at other gyms that coast 4 times as much. They don't have tough-guy pretenders that spend more time watching than lifting. Maybe you should stop insulting people you don't know and go back to school. You really need help.

  • It's hard, they promote not breathing in the gym, because when lifting heavy you tend to make noises. So if something pops in my eye or brain, I'd sue them for promoting bad and dangerous technique. If I survive

  • @mferguson1281 It's a "No lunkhead zone". Their purpose is to make everyone comfortable, which I understand. However, banning exercises that actually build muscle is what they do. No squats. No deadlifts. No grunting or making loud noises... IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE A FUCKING GYM. I don't know about anybody else, but, dammit, I make noise when I lift!! I go heavy until TMF for ten sets per exercise... bound to be a little noise in there.

    its called a Rack Pull

    Benefits of Rack Pulls. Rack Pulls strengthen your glutes, hamstrings, core, grip and upper-back. Rack Pulls are especially good at building upper-back thickness.

    don't think you need to use reverse grip with hooks, but too each his own.

  • @jcbRedhawk09 a lot of people do when they do rack pulls, its because they are doing more than 3 reps with max weight. plus he was a planet fitness... i would be screaming balls and banging the weights if i was doing that, so I understand why the use of straps.

    They are rack pulls, though he is doing them incorrectly because the bar is not resting on the rack between each set and because he is hyperextending his back.

  • @uliveinalion Yeah, I was talking about the hyperextending of his back. My bad calling it a deadlift, but you must admit the only thing that changes it not being a deadlift is that you start from a different height; and yes I do realize this changes up the lift.

  • @askemone i agree.. grunting is just a more strained way of breathing.. its not easy to take deep calm breaths when you are lifting shit load of weight. becuase your abs and other muscles squeeze your lungs and makes it alot harder to breathe without making a grunting noise.
