@goombabear I do hope you enjoyed your Day out Jenny, these events are certainly enjoyed by children of all ages from 3 to 83 !! all over the world...Thanks for your kind and appreciated comments....Bob
Everyone does seem to be enjoying themselves. Must be expensive putting up the temp station, hopefully worth it. Like the shot, I think 06.56, as they go under the bridge. Just checking the Thomas books for where he hauls an ex-BR DMMU, carn't find it! lol.
@MG06ZT They certainly were Keith, I wasn't there long enough to capture it all, Of course Thomas pulled Daisy, you've just not read the right book..ha..ha...Bob
What a pleasure to see "Thomas le petit train" (in French) as well filmed. My little son asked me if I could buy him. I replied that it was too expensive, but they could watch as many times as wanted. Thank you Bob for this moment of pleasure.
@PhilbruProduction Je suis heureux que vous et votre fils plaisir à regarder mes vidéo de Thomas Philippe, il est très populaire auprès des visiteurs de tous âges ... Bob
@WoelkerVideo Thanks Gunter, The Gwili Railway is situated in Carmarthenshire in West Wales, and is around 15 miles from my home. You can look it up on the net if you would like further information...Bob
Interesting that some lines are getting fed up with all the copyright restrictions and licence fees and so on and turning to Ivor the Engine and so on, but it must still be a nice earner for those lines that think it worth their while. Llangollen have a Jinty, then, do they? Don't think I've seen it before. Yes, 47298, I find.
@AndreiTupolev It's certainly a vital part of the Gwili's calender Andrei, and provides much needed income. I would think that Ivor the Engine would have similar licensing requirements This Jinty is indeed one of Llangollen's fleet, and is of course an ex Barry loco.....Thanks again for your thought provoking comments...Bob
Great footage Bob of this obviously well organised and well patronised event. I wonder how many of today's younger enthusiasts developed their interest by an encounter with Thomas.
@howarth004 Thanks Dave children and adults of all ages enjoy these wonderful events, it's a real picture to see the smiling faces on the children when they see THOMAS....Bob
What an outstanding video Bob, the Gwili Railway never fails to suprise me with it's funny events. This was for sure an extrodinary video, wich again gave me the "I-feel-like-I-am-there" feeling. Thumbs up, and a huge favourite.
@Jonern67 Thanks Jon, these Day out with Thomas events are extremely popular with visitors of all ages, and the Railway does everything it can to make it an enjoyable experience for them.....Bob
What a magical movie. Clearly both youngsters and adults had a good day as I hope you did. Lovely sequences with Thomas in full steam in great countryside. And as for the speling prolem, proly you've bin to close to a 'texter'! :-)
@108Robcatt Thanks again Rob, I was rushing to get it out and was brain dead when it began uploading during the early hours of today....I only managed a few hours down there, but it worked out well...Bob
@Firrboxfryup Now now Jamie, control yourself, without these very popular events, a great deal of income would be lost, so they are very necessary.....Bob
@Firrboxfryup I'm sure the ESR will miss you Jamie, as young volunteers like you are worth their weight in Gold...Good Luck with your new venture....Bob
We just attended a Day Out wit Thomas event here in North Carolina. The views from the train were not nearly as beautiful though.
