  • Awesome.

  • Watch people at the recent shows, if the don't know the words to the old songs, they mosh harder so they don't look stupid!! Which makes them stupid!!

  • Damn! ...thats Rise Against!

  • One of the best 29 minutes of my life. If not the best. The good ol' days of The Unraveling.

  • i got lost on my way to a show where RA opened for Bad Religion, it was right before they got mainstream and their music started to suck. I'm sure they would've played mostly the first 2 albums since the 3rd wasn't even complete at the time. I wouldn't waste my money to see them live now. It was a horrible night. We even missed part of BR's set.

  • Tim McIlrath all day

  • Ugh, damn double posts v.v

  • Epic ... just Epic!

  • I'm not certain but would they still be called Transistor revolt at this point?

  • @MarcadamiaNut No, Transistor Revolt was 1999. This video was in 2001, after they changed to Rise Against and relased The Unraveling.

  • @MarcadamiaNut No, Transistor Revolt was 1999. This video was in 2001, after they changed to Rise Against and relesed The Unraveling.

  • @UnderstatedBassist Oh ur right sorry I got a little confused cuz my iTunes says the album was 2005 cuz of the reissue I should change that

  • even though the quality is pretty crappy, it still sounds beautiful

  • This is amazing. Never thought id get to see footage from these days.

  • hey 2 u guys sayin that RA has sold out, u r wrong. if they would have they would be doin songs like green day are doin, but they arent. green day sold out, RA havent. Linkin park (screw them) have sold out, RA havent

  • dont hate their new stuff every song they wrote was written with passion and in them they embedded their soul for us to listen to and enjoy i love every song they have they inspire me and help me through hard times

  • I love all Rise Against's work. (Albums, Covers, Soundtracks) No matter what "era" they come from, 2001 or 2009. Is there certain albums I like better, yes, but I'm not going to say there newer stuff sucks. It doesnt. It's just not the same as their older stuff. Big deal.

  • Awesome, this is my favorite album and this is just amazing!

And as far as I see it: no, RA didn't sell out. They just got less chaotic over the years. I mean, it has been like 10 years since they wrote their first song. A lot can happen in 10 years time, people change.

  • Wow this is amazing. Tim's voice has gotten alot better over the years .lol. But this was awesome. I wished I could have seen them back then.

  • This is awesome Thanks for finding this, I can barely find any of they're old shows

  • Comment removed

  • no, they sold out. it's completely different sounding, and theres like no screaming.

  • Comment removed

  • wow you spaz get a life rather than getting pissed off at people who dont have the same view as you over the internet

  • Bullshit, Doing something different is not selling out

  • i 100% agree with VT. their old stuff is fucking amazing, but its like that with almost every band. they play their stuff til they get big. then they go mainstream and suck. its happened with alexisonfire and billy talent too

  • this used to be available for download on their website back until about 2004. this was 2 days before their unraveling CD release party.

  • amazing. old school rise against. i love it :) if you havent heard this album or RPM ur not a real fan.

  • You're the new revolution! The angst-filled adolescent! You fit the stereotype well!

  • my life inside your heart! my favorite song!

  • So fucking amazing...

  • at 19:00 everchanging i think is one of their best if not their best song

  • Mr. Precision was easily their best guitarist. Their first album was a landmark, everything since then has been an attempt to be that good again.

  • Fuck, I WISH I could have seen RISE back then. Fuck the new shit. This is real Rise Against. I hate when people say "oh, I love Rise Against" and they just listen to the last two albums. They played Dead Ringer at the last show I was at and like NO ONE knew the words, it pissed me off.

  • meant to give thumbs up haha

  • i love you!! rise againsts old stuff was by far better than the appeal to reason maistream stuff

  • same exact thing with me. i went to the one at buffalo on july 30th... i was the only one singing dead ringer with them. its like wtf? revolutions per minute and the unraveling are easily their best.

  • I was there too ! I was so stoked they played that, it was awesome.

I wish I could go to the Dec show. They're only playing songs off the first 2 CDs.

  • my parents wouldnt let me drive to chicago... its 10 hours away. and by the time i went to look at tickets they were sold out. i cant wait til their next tour. i heard they're writing a new CD due out this time next year though. theyre recording it after their austrailian tour in jan-feb

  • so frikn awesome so raw man its just so awesome and raw its like the sickest performace ive seen on youtube RA for ever

  • Mr. Precision was their best guitarist...

  • HOLY SHIT!

  • What is the song that's playing at 11:00?

  • Six Ways 'Till Sunday

  • it's six ways til sunday, same song they were playing for a couple minutes before until about 11:30.

  • six ways til sunday

  • This is soo awesome, i wish i could have seen them when they played these songs live =)

  • How many people have got a stonk from watching this?

  • man... can i give this like fifty million stars?

    this is amazing. thank you.

  • THOSE WERE THE FUCKING DAYS

  • woot, although suffering and the witness is great it's it the unraveling that truly got me into Rise Against. The rawness is amazing!

  • thats interesting he called it 3 year weekend

  • ohhh. good old times, mr precision :D

  • This goes right onto my psp :D using Free youtube to ipod and psp convertor :D

  • Amazing :)

  • why don't you just call whine one one and shut up?

  • Beautiful. Simply, beautiful.

  • omg tim is so off. this is awesome.

I love seeing vids from the early days when they haven't perfected everything. More pure and raw.

  • anyone got a time machine?

  • I'm deff going to try to invent one dude, fuck... this show looks freaking amazing :X:X

  • One of the most well-spent 30 minutes of my month

  • and your life... :P

  • Very true. Actually saw them back in November, it was great, but not as good as this. Hopefully they step it up in June

  • this was back when they had no second guitarist/singer since tim just sang. but they were so good back then. they are good now but they're more mainstreem. siren was their best the revolution, the songs that are playing now from the unraveling, the new appeal to reason album and the worst was the suffere. it was to like poppy. but still had goo singles but not all the songs were good. but still die hard rise against fan for life =)

  • its not mainstream at all its just more lighter sound than usual and all thier songs are good

  • half an hour of pure goodness. wow.

  • nice men!!! thx for this!!!

  • this is awesome.. i wish they played some of this songs now..

  • They played stained glass and Marble at the concert I went to

  • join the ranks is on the remastered version of the unraveling

  • can anyone set the list of the songs pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee in order if posible if not ho cares jajaja

  • 1. Alive and Well 2. Great Awakening 3. My Life Inside Your Heart 4. Remains of Summer Memories 5. The Art of Losing 6. Six Ways Til' Sunday 7. Stained Glass and Marble 8. 1000 Good Intentions 9. The Art of Losing 10. Join The Ranks 11. 3 Day Weekend 12. Everchanging 13. Sometimes Selling Out Is Giving Up 14. The Unraveling 15. Reception Fades

All of these songs except for Join The Ranks are on The Unraveling.

  • this is such a good live performance, it sounds identical to the studio version. actual better because of the raw energy in it. i wish they would still play stuff like this

  • order of my favs..

    1.RPM

    2.Suffer

    3.Siren

    4.Unraveling

    5.Appeal

    :D

  • Agree =D

  • 1 Siren song counter

    2 revolution per minutes

    3 the unraveling

    4 suffer and the whitness

and appeal to reason is the badest album because they go to mainstream

  • fucking amazing drums on the unraveling

  • who's the guitarist?

awesome vid btw. i might see them live in october in manhattan

  • the guitarist on this is mr. precision

they were going through alot of guitarist and none of them lasted long

  • and brandon isnt even on the drums yet either

  • it looks like mr precision, but i'm not sure if this vid (2001) was after him.

  • fuckin awesome, so glad you put it on, thanks man :D

  • Youre ALL wrong...

    1. The Unraveling/RPM/Siren Song of the Counter Culture/The Sufferer and the Witness

    =D

  • Dude it's every1 opinion no1 is right or wrong

  • he's talking about chronological order xD i think

  • I would go

    1) revolutions per minute

    2) the unravelling

    3) Siren Song ....

    4) Sufferer and Witness

  • very good sound quality and a good performance

  • incredible performance

  • holy shit!!!!! AWESOME!!

  • i would go

    1. sufferer and the witness

    2. Revolutions per minute

    3. the unraveling

    4. siren song of the counter culture but siren song has some good songs. like life less frightning

  • since you like Rise Against, you must have good taste, but as far as this goes i could disagree much more, for me it goes

    1. Siren Song of The Counter Culture

    2.Revolutions Per Minute

    3.The Unraveling

    4.Suffer and the Witness

  • 1.Suffer and the Witness

    2. Siren Song of The Counter Culture

    3.Revolutions Per Minute

    4. the unraveling

  • thts a good order, id say the same, wts the new album called? the 1 thts comin out on oct 7th

  • the new album is gonna be called appeal to reason

  • dude thanks. this was added on my birthday 2 years ago! now i can watch this as a birthday gift. even if my birthday is like 9 months away...

  • Yeah i wish there was more videos from circa revolutions per minute and the unravelling.

  • true.. the unraveling and revolutions per~ are the best albums.. the other ones are good, but the old songs are better :D

    LOVE RISE AGAINST

  • awesome video

  • this video is the best rise against video i have ever seen, the rawness and the oldness of it is awesome and its the only video ive seen of them playing their old stuff which is the best!!!!! how can i get a copy!!!!

  • Great Video, Great Band, I still love the old songs :)

  • AWESOME VIDEO.

  • <3 :)

  • there first 2 albums were the best...awsome band... i lost my shoe at there concert...it was worth it... there the best

  • rare video? give me a break. this was on supersphere dcn for free streams. one of those free live sites that used to have tons of punk bands. I'm pretty sure this one video was from fall 2000 not 2001.

  • the unravelling wasn't even released in 2000

  • a lot of the unraveling songs were recorded way before it came out. they just re-recorded them with fat wreck after they were signed. I'm positive this was from fall 2000. I remember the video was on an internet concert site. Either dcn or supersphere.

  • actually to the guy below me; they played alive and well on the most recent tour. so, no it's not.

  • yeah they play one song, sometimes,WOW!! there are 18 songs on the record...

  • Good shit...The Unraveling is my 2nd favorite album (RPM 1st). Sadly this is the only way to see these song played live now heh...thx for posting this up

  • the old things are awesome. I don't like "the sufferer and the witness" so much.

  • damn. good fuckin video!

  • Thank you

  • BALLER

  • wow thanks for uploading this!

art of losing live - ive always wanted to hear it

tims voice sounds kinda weird... i mean its different then now

i love them. really my fav band

  • years of screaming would do that to a guy xD

    this video rocks

  • video blows! but pretty decent sound. seems like it woulda been a pretty sweet show. i love these guys

  • i love this album, alot of the songs sound better live also

  • awesome!!! i was 8. i got the re-issue. its their best record.

  • GREAT perormance ... too sad, i don't know them that long :( ut now my heart beats with the sound of rise against :) .. and i'm not a stupid billy talent fan or something like that

  • Wow, cheers for this.

  • thanks man

    great video!

  • Fucking awesome!!! But I do not agree that this is the best album from RA.Here is my opinion about the albums:

    1.RPM - perfect

2.The Suffer and the witness - awesome

3.Siren Song of the counter culture - awesome

4.The Unraveling - excellent(but not as good as the first 3 of the list)

  • Totally agree!

I think that RPM is the best album ever!

  • i was first getting into punkrock when the unraveling came out. its the only RA album i know and i still think its a real solid album, but soon after i got into streetpunk and then crust. then i sold out, hehe. the other albums are definately worth a shot though?

  • i would go with the

    1.The Unraveling

    2.RPM

3.Siren Song of the Counter Culture

    4.The Sufferer and the Witness.

  • which is also chronalogical order!

  • this is awesome shit, unraveling really did kick ass, wish i saw em back then, but they are still amazing now, my fav band

  • This is awesome. Rise Against is one of the best bands around. Thank you for posting this.

  • the unraveling was the best fucking album rise against had. really. the greatness in albums go in order.

    the unraveling- awesome

    revolutions per minute- great

siren song of the counter culture- good

the sufferer and the witness- ok

  • this one ownz ! thanks

  • I was lucky enough to see them that year they toured with Strung Out, Poison The Well and Rufo. Shit was fucking RAW! This is back when they had Dan Percison(gutarist) from 88 Fingers Louie check them out

  • this is when rise against kicked ass...its when they were rise against..

  • what was the song in minute from minute 24 ? i don´t know it..
