  • What is the point of going to this school?

  • @CryInTheAttic So you can get a good education for a good future.

  • It has been my dream of getting into this school for the longest time. I'm in the 8th grade, but my parents can't pay for it.

  • @PennyShortProduction You can get int on financial aid so you don't have to pay as much or if you really need it, anything at all.

  • If you apply for a scholarship you are less likely to get in. I live live in the town nxt to Exeter Seems like a fun school

  • @yrutubin You're actually wrong. Most of the kids at exeter are actually on some sort of financial aid. And it's fun, but very hard work.

  • Exeter Alumni c/o 11'. Loved Exeter. The ticket to getting in: be yourself, find something you're good at, don't over do it:)

  • You know, they give out financial aid, and you could get a scholarship! You should apply there, always be openminded!

  • it seems to be the best school of the world. but i am german and i haven`t enough money. pity!

  • @4everFCLiverpool You can get in on financial aid or a scholarship if you need to. You should apply anyway!

  • Philips Exeter spends more on each student than what you would be paying them.

  • Admissions materials came out.

  • So grateful that my son will be attending this amazing school! This is the education that parents dream of for their children.

  • @ShaBomp Good luck for ur children

  • i want to go to the normal year

  • i am here during summer school

  • I didnt get accepted. :( ;)

  • Really does create ballers.

  • damn, this school is like 100 times bigger than mine, really, I wish I went here

  • ah phillips exeter--no longer the ideal Greek world of A Separate peace--now you'll hear chinese and arabic in the hallowed halls....and rap music/ cell phones---the world is changing too fast. And girls!! I like the Harkness method, thought!! Phillips lets do some Elgar, Vaughn Williams here--you have an ancient history you know--don't ignore that ideal world.

  • Choate is better... but Exeter IS a good school no doubt

  • @actressashleyhihi no its not they are lazy at choate

  • @bookworm097 I sent you my FB name into your messages

  • I got excepted..Full ride scholarship. Yeah Buddy!!!

  • @Mrflowpy What were your stats?

  • @Mrflowpy accepted

  • @Mrflowpy It's so unfair that I didn't get in, but a person who can't even spell "accepted" did. T__T

  • @honorstudent97 Spelling isn't the strong point of everyone. For all you know this guy is a math genius. Apply again next year, maybe you'll get in!

  • I got accepted here! :D

  • my Boarding School sucks compared to this

  • I went to a nice prestigious private school in Spain but it wasn't nearly as cool as this one.

  • @bookworm097 that means we shall meet :-) I also got accepted into Exeter for this year :-)

  • very well done film...i actually liked better the way you structured the short film than its content about the academy,,,

  • Exeter sucks cock. I go to Andover and unlike Exeter the school isn't morbid, depressing, and nerdy. Andover for life.

  • @TheChadzzup What the hell dude? I've just visited there and none of the such things you said about our school is true. Get your damn facts right before you go ahead and insult us.

  • the best, yet the toughest 4 yrs of my life were spent here

  • This school is so awesome.

  • Lol, the admissions officer Mr. Blackman dispelled my doubts about this school. Fickle Andover managed to relate to me that this school was conservative. Blackman's repetitive sarcasm upon this subject truly moved me. XD

  • For all you people that say wealth determines your acceptance rate, here is my argument. Why the hell would they have finanacial aid then. I have personally been there and regard it as an amazing school with boundless oppurtunities. SSAT: 99%. I love this school. The acceptance is truly based upon academic and personal success, not wealth.

  • Very well edited. You people reek of privilege.

  • im thinking bout this boarding skewl but idk is it gewd? :D

  • @Sandiegio9 It is one of the best boarding schools in the U.S and arguably the hardest one to get into.

  • REV'S VOICE.

  • If they only applied these same principles for the faculty and staff alike. The school provides real opportunities for the students but not alot of incentive(if any) for the people behind the scenes who make the school run. Which is remarkably sad. The founding principles have fallen away to corporate board room politics, and mini power struggles within....... It hurts to say:( The potential for further greatness is kept out of reach by large ego's and false sense of virtue.

  • God grant me this prayer:

    1. Let my child get into this school

    2. Let me make enough money to pay for it

If this is what education was like around the country

there would be less than a 5% drop out rate......

  • GO ALEX CHEN!!!

  • I got this dvd..in the mail..

  • heioo1...you're whack

  • is exeter as pretentious as evryone makes it? im going there in the fall and i want to know if there's importance on anything besides academics

  • Connor you are so far away...

  • I got a rejection letter today. ):

  • A Separate Peace - Knowles

  • oh, i have this, i am doing this program called Prep 9 and i researched all the boarding schools that it would help me get into. Exeter send me this video on a DVD. I really want to go there!

  • They sent this to me through mail on a DVD ;D..I hope I get accepted!

  • My cousin went, its beautiful there.

  • I'm an Exeter alum... but I wish they hadn't used Dan Brown in the video. Considering his writing, it's not exactly resounding praise to say he learned to write at PEA.

  • Does anybody know how hard it is to get in?

  • @14dangeloa 15 percent acceptance rate

  • if you're white, rich, have connections like me, it's a given

  • no man this school dosnt care about money they has enough people who donate to it , its about marks

  • it's a combination of the two, I would know, I graduated in 2008

  • how long do you ahve to study for the ssat upper level, and how hard is it

  • did you go here?

and if so do you know how long u have to study for an ssat??

  • what university do uyou go to now??

  • Princeton University, Rockefeller college.

  • what are you studying?

  • @Powa2 man my parents were going to give a school in canada 34,000 for the tuition right up front and they still wouldnt take me

  • @japanbyron: UCC? If you can't buy your way into there, how do you plan to get into exeter? snicker.

  • I'm applying here! I hope I get in! Exeter sounds like an amazing opportunity to get really good education!

  • @heioo1 whats ur grades like they have a 15 percent acceptance rate

  • Straight A's :)

  • did u get accepted???

  • The deadline isn't until January 15th. I hope I could get in though!

  • what did u get on your ssat???? and what grade r u applying for??

  • 9th and 96 percentile. :)

  • @heioo1 did u do upper level or lower and how much did u study for it bcuz im doing mine in march 6th??? was the ssat hard??

how long did u study for it??

  • how long do u have to study for your ssat

  • when are you doing it? I just studied 20 minutes a day for a month, just go over your basic math and reading. Don't fret over SSAT, it sn't that important, it's the interview that matters.

  • do you have to have over a 90 percent average in all your classes to get in???

  • nope.

  • @Powa2 im 17 and im writing my ssat on march 6th do you think i should take the sat?

  • I studied about an hour on weekdays and two hours on the weekends. I use flashcards for vocab, and I review on what I learn in Math, I usually don't learn new subjects in Math because it would of caused too much pressure on me :) It's also helpful to know how to write correctly. Make sure you don't cram the night before. When are you taking the test?

  • @heioo1 yeah im defineatley not cramming all in one night, i sit my ssat on march 6ths so i got a month to go im currently studying 2 hours a night and i have made aout 200 vocab flash cars,

how old were you when you did your ssat? and did you get accepted to exeter? im 17 and im writing my ssat

  • Yes I got accepted! I'm 13, but I don't know if I should go or not. I might go to Choate instead. I hope you get in though! You seem like you deserve it!

  • @heioo1 also what ook did you use did you use princeton reivew. i am using princton reivew cracking the ssat 2010 and the ssat guide, do you know where you can get any practice tests other than in those 2 books?

  • I also have a friend that attends--

Obviously it is hard as it is the very best boarding school in the country.

Yes, because they're on block schedule. You have to remember that they also have half-days.

I would encourage people to apply.

  • im applying this year! i had my interview a month ago and it was really relaxing! the people are really nice there

  • This makes it look a lot more fun than it actually is. Ouch.

  • i hate exeter, such an obnoxious place

  • This school looks amazing and I might be attending a boarding school this year or the next.

  • I want to go to this school sooo badly

  • GO.

    BIG.

    BLUE!

  • Straight a's and extra-curriculars alone probably won't get you into Exeter. It didn't work for my friends and I.

  • Then how do you get in?

  • You know, I really don't know. I'm applying again, but idk if I will get in this time.

  • the interview is really important because you have to be able to articulate at the harkness table

good luck getting in...Exeter is so awesome, I love it

  • good luck

  • i went to their summer session this summer and it was amazing. there was so much diversity and everybody that was there wanted to learn!!! im going to apply there this year for high school!!!! the time that i spent at exeter was unforgettable!!!!!!!

  • God. This was made lower year, and already everyone looks incredibly young.

  • I know, even Esosa's in this vid.

  • 0:16

  • I am soooo going to get into this school.... I just sent in the inquiry form... Straight A's and extra curricular activities should help, hopefully!!

  • Or not being so god damn cocky could help?

  • and this is aimed at 'softballca'...

  • :( I wanna go to Exeter SO badly, but I'm afraid I won't make it. ):

  • i go here :D

  • I agree. Who is ThurstonSmiley?? get a life! stop living on YouTube and bon-bons!Nobody really cares what you have to say!!!

  • Exeter is the best boarding school in the country not opinion but fact.

  • You gonna back that up with anything?

  • I will back that up with statistics AND The Boarding School Review come on do your homework!!!!;}

  • @jus400track lol

  • @jus400track

In correct, that would be an opinion. Evidently you didn't learn much....

  • Whoa, whoa, whoa. Hang on a second. You might say that about five people but, guess what, probability says one of them is going to get in. Take your negativity elsewhere, maybe somewhere where people you attack will be able to defend themselves.

  • You just said you went to Deerfield.

  • If you treat other schools with that kind of respect you should have graduated from Choate.

  • one of my friends goes there.

  • I know i'm appling :)

  • you are not going to get in if you can't spell applying =]. PEA is an amazing school!

  • Sorry 'typo' I'm h-u-m-a-n ;)
